Accommodation in Skala

Gareth A

My girlfriend and I have just returned from 2 weeks in Skala and we had a great time. It's true, the beds are uncomfortable, esp. if you are tall, and you have to push the 2 small singles together to approximate it to a double. We had a ground floor room with windows that opened out onto a yard with some kind of oil boiler that would rumble occasionally and would sometimes make the room smell a little. However the little patio area out front was nice and had a nice view partially over the sea.
The room could get very hot and the asking price of 3Euros a day was ridiculous, and they ask you not to bring in others from outside vendors. So we were glad when it cooled a little in the second week.
The room was always kept very, very clean and the owners were pleasant.

Overall, clean but very basic, not somewhere you will want to spend a lot of time.

Nice accommodation at top of hill so v quiet. Lovely gardens and very peaceful Bed a bit uncomfortable but all else great. Family owned so felt quite safe as owners on premises. Would definitely stay there again

Nice sunrise to be seen if your up it time. It is a fair walk up the hill at night after the walk in to the centre of Skala but a nice and quiet location and well kept. The sort of place a scooter comes in handy if your lazy (like me)
