We spent the first week in October at the Dionysios and thought they were lovely. The room was spotless - she changed the beds and towels mid-week and the toilet bin every day. The studios/apartments were situated on a "road" more like a wide path which cars and motorbikes did pass but not excessively and certainly didn't stop me from sleeping or relaxing and we were on the ground floor. The only bad side was they were quite a few cats mooching about but they didn't take much shooing away - apart from the deaf kitten that was always on our patio. There was a kettle, fridge and hob in the room which was ok if you were only doing sarnies like us but not if you were intending to do meals. The owners were great and if you did have any problems they were always on hand. There are not many rooms so there was a friendly atmosphere as all the guests were great and always stopped for a chat and a laugh.

| We have just got got back from a week in Dionysios Studios. We were in room 11 which was right next to the stairs and entrance and everybody else had to pass our room. You can also hear everybody's toilet flushing. So it was incredibly noisy and as we went there for peace and quiet we were very disappointed. I got very little sleep during the week.
The studios were quite clean and tidy but the equipment was lacking. We has only 1 teaspoon between us and all the crockery was mismatched. There wasn't a breadknife either. So it was a bit like trying to slice a baguette with a fish knife.
Other than that, the studios are in a good location, but some of the studios are down the side of the building and do not get any sun at all.
I did ask our Kosmar rep if she could move us to somewhere quieter, but she wasn't interested. If we had wanted to book a trip it would have been a different matter.
If you go to these studios I hope that you don't get rooms 11 or 14 and 15 as these are the ones down the side of the building and get no sun.

have just returned from a 1 week stay at the Dionysios apartments. They are very clean and comfortable and about 5 mins from centre of town, not very much noise at all only downside was we didn't get a room with a balcony!. The owner Denis is very pleasant as is his wife Paris. The town is very nice - no hassle from the local bars or restaurants. The locals are very friendly. Lets hope it stays this way. I am hoping to return in August/September with my 12 year old son. for a weeks holiday otherwise it will be next year sometime!

| Hi just returned from Skala, on Sunday 24th September, stayed at the Dionysios for the 3rd time, it was brilliant. Denis as always the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble for him. The situation is ideal for us, very peaceful, and quite idyllic. We love Skala and have been going for several years now, but not always can we get booked up at Denis's so this time we have booked up a full year in advance to make sure we get into the Dionysios, can't wait for the 24th June 2007. See you then Denis | ||||||||||

We have just returned from our stay in Dionysios Studio Apartments and thought they were ideal for what we required. We only use our room as a base somewhere to sleep, shower and change. There are comments regarding the traffic noise but you must remember you are not staying in a purpose build resort you are staying where locals live and still have to work so you just accept some traffic disturbance. I would stay here again but I would like them to change the towels more often than just once a week.

| My wife and I have spent our holidays in Scala for some 10years and have both fallen in love with the resort. We previously stayed at the "Ermioni" but this year have decided to try "Dionysios" after reading the favourable comments on these pages. Like Frank Rawlinson, we too would appreciate location details of this property.

| We stayed in Scala last year the first 2 weeks of September it was brilliant so we are going back for the same 2 weeks this year. We stayed at the villa Sophia which was good and recommended but we saw what we think is the Dionysios and thought it looked even nicer.I have searched all the net sites trying to find out if I have got the the location correct but cannot find it anywhere. Also cannot wait to get back to the captains bar and see Monica and Tina again. What a laugh!! |

| Arrived back on 31st October - last week of the season. Location is good, just a few minutes walk from the centre of the village, and our apartment was on the first floor overlooking the lane. We had a view down to the sea from the balcony (just) and sunshine from sunrise to sunset, the apartment being south facing. The occasional vehicle does sound quite loud and there was one vociferous dog just around the corner and an irritating cockerel nearby. The apartment was very clean, bins were emptied regularly. Our towels and sheet were changed once during the week which we found adequate, having taken extra towels ourselves. If you haven't been to Greece before, beware of the sanitation. The apartment was about par for this, but I would suggest that some toilet freshener might be advantageous. The only thing we were disappointed with was the level of equipment, poor even by the norm for this type of accommodation. | ||||||||||

| The Dionysis was in a nice part of Skala...away from the main street, but a nice five min walk, and a nice walk to part of the beach. The apartments were kept clean by daily maid service, but we found that we were woken up early every morning by either big wagons driving on the road nearby, or a noise that sounded like dustbin men. The balcony that we had didnt have a view due to great big trees in front of it, but in a way that was nice because it gave us a bit of privacy. The fridge in the apartment was a blessing in disguise, although calling the apartments self catering was pushing it a bit too far, as there was a fride and two hobs. We are returning to Skala next year, but will not be booking in the Dyonysios again. | ||||||||||
