Alexander Apartments
(Apartments in Skala)
| This was the first time we had travelled to Skala without the 'safety net' of a tour operator so we were a little nervous, but the Alexander Apartments proved to be even better than described on their website. We had an apartment on the top floor so we had a nice view out towards the sea though the pines lining the beach, even the half finished building didn't really spoil the scene. The apartment itself consisted of a large sitting/dining area complete with TV, an equally large bedroom, and an excellent bathroom (shower cubical, non-slip tiles, even a hairdryer). There is also air-conditioning throughout which meant sleeping at night proved very comfortable. The location of the apartments is also ideal as the main street, the beach and the nearest supermarket are all about five minutes gentle stroll away, and yet it is very quiet at night as the road seems to have more residents houses than tourist apartments. We even had a donkey tethered on some land across the road for part of the holiday - Very Greek!  We'll definitely be going back again.  |
