I believe the Skala Hotel has now closed and is up for sale. Sad.

We love Hotel Skala. We have just booked to go there 28th September, till the 12th October. This will be our 7th stay there, our 8th to Kefalonia.
Peter,Sofia, Voula, & Lukia are perfect hosts & make you feel at home.
Skala is our favourite village. People are so friendly. This year we intend to enjoy it even more because my life nearly ended by a serious illness last year,
& this is the perfect hotel/village to totally relax.
The Thomson Reps are also very friendly & helpful.
Would not have any doubts about visiting here.

Excellent hotel. Very high standard of cleanliness. Maid service every day except Sunday. Owners very welcoming and helpful and were very good with the children. Good food. There is a fridge and air conditioning in the rooms which we did not have to pay extra for.

I have just spent 2 weeks at The Skala hotel with my husband and I cannot say how clean this hotel is. It has to be the cleanest in Greece! Voula the receptionist who is the owners daughter is extremely helpful and will assist you any way she can to make sure you have a good holiday. The only thing that we didn't like was that our room was on the ground floor next to reception and to get to the other floors you had pass our room which, could be very noisy with people trudging past or being in the reception area. The room we had, had a dble bed and a single in it and also a fridge, air con was there too but you had to pay for it. All rooms have big balconys with table & chairs and a drying rack to put any washed clothes on. There is no swimming pool. The hotel is 3 minutes walk from the beach and 5 mins from the main street where all the bars and restaurants are located. All in all we had an enjoyable stay at this hotel and would stay there again. I have only been home a few hours and I want to go straight back to the lovely resort of Skala.

| Just come back from 2 brilliant weeks in Kefalonia, the Skala Hotel was excellent, Sophie was very welcoming and would recommend this hotel to first timers it is near the beach and town, its also quiet at night, I would recommend Air Con though. Rooms clean, the only things is you cant sleep in as by 8.30 the cleaners are up and you know they are up with their banging, but it gets you up ready for the day. Try it you you wont be dispapointed :-) | ||||||||||

| My husband and I love Kefalonia and this year stayed at the Skala Hotel. It was friendly well run and very clean (rooms serviced every day except Sunday). Peter and Sophie, the owners, are delightful, helpful and are proud to make you feel like you are staying in their home. Peter has some wonderful and funny stories to tell. I would highly recommend this hotel to any visitor to the island. | ||||||||||
