click to enlarge My friend and I have just returned from a glorious week in Skala at the Anassa.  We took a late booking and we both had never been to Anassa or even Skala but were so very surprised when we arrived there.  We were greeted by Effie and George and taken straight through to Hercules bar for a welcoming complementary drink.  The hotel is situated virtually just across the road from the beach and a five minute walk from the town centre.  Our week just got better by the day, everyone was so helpful and happy to see you every day.  The decor was modern, everything was spotless, the food was lovely and the pool was second to none.  I would highly recommend Anassa to anyone wishing to visit Skala and my friend and I have already promised Effie and George that we will be back.  Sooner rather than later.

Just returned from 2 weeks stay at Anassa ( 12th - 26th Aug 08 ).
Anassa is great. The location is perfect and the view by the pool overlooking the sea is the best.
We had a self catering room which was very nice, a bit on the smaller size when shareing with a child but still good. Rooms were cleaned everyday. The owners Effie and George are very welcoming and we were greated by Effie who led us straight to the bar and got us a cold beer.
Effie also told me they are working through the winter to put in new bathrooms so the rooms should be even better next year. Had no hassle getting a sunbed by the pool. There were a nice mixture of guests from young to old with and without families.
Hercules, Ontarias and Linda were always friendly by the bar. Food is served in the day and it was very good. The greek/barbeque night was good fun and the food was excellent.
Only a 5 min walk up to the main street with plenty of good choices to eat and drink.
Missing it already and have just rebooked to go back to Anassa next August. Can't Wait !

We have just returned from a fabulous week at the Anassa.  We stayed in one of the self catering studios as we have a 20month old son.  The location of this hotel is excellent.  The pool area is amazing.  We ate at the bar most lunchtimes and the food is very good.  All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.  This is our fourth time in Skala, and whilst we did see more cosmopolitan restaurants, it still retains its charm and character.  It is a really good place to take children as all the greeks and the restaurants are childfriendly.  We would definitely go again and stay at the Anassa, it is just a shame we only stayed a week!

We stayed at the Anassa from 13 July 2006 to 27 July 2006.

The hotel was everything the previous reviews had said and more. The team worked hard to ensure that all the quests had a great time.

We arrived on 13th at approximately 3pm and was greated at the receiption by Billy. He told us to forget about the luggage and showed us through to the pool bar where we were offered a drink, compliments of the hotel. We sat there stiring out to sea, realising that we had made the perfect choice for our summer holiday!

We stayed in one of the new Deb Deck rooms (only finished in May 2006) room 221 (top left of the picture). The room was of a very high standard, with planty of room for a family of 3 or 4. The Sat TV was very basic, only showing BBC World and the Traverl Channel. I took my DVD Player and connected it to the flat screen TV.

The hotel served food from 8.30am to 5pm, whihc was again of a very high standard. We eat various things from the menu and each time it was delicious. Adel, who 1st season it is at the Anassa worked very hard in the kitchen to produce a great selction of food, with the prices being very reasonable. The dishes ranged from 2 Euors to 8 Euros depending on what you wanted. A small beer was €2.50 and the cocktails and long drinks were €5 or €6 and €4 or €5 respectively. The BBQ's, held on Thurday nights were fantastic. The food was great and the atmosphere around the bar was lively. Well worth the €15 per adult and €8 per child.

The village centre was only 5minutes walk away. It had various places to eat and a handfull of bars. The prices were reasonable, not as much as I had anticpated after reading some of the reviews.

We have already booked a holiday to Dominican Republic, but if we had not, I would be booking for the Anassa.

Go there, you will not be disappointed!

Well this was the view from my sun lounger. Do I need to say more?

No other hotel or apartment complex in Skala can offer you this!

On top of this the hotel and all of the apartments are finished to an extremely high standard, the staff are very friendly and the food on offer is great.

We stayed in an apartment and had a sea view. The apartment was basic but very clean with balconies to the front and rear, you couldn't want for more.

click to enlargeWe only had to cross the road and we were on the beach and the sea is so clear and cool. The road was not at all busy but those who walked by looked on with envy! But they could have joined us! The Anassa offer free sunloungers and use of the pool  to anyone, they have a bar and offer full lunch and evening menus but they do ask that you don't bring your own food and drink to the pool. Fair enough I think!
