My friend and I stayed at Michalis in July this year and found the apartments fine for our needs. They are very well situated, close to the beach (view point end) and a stones throw from the main street. Basic but clean, we had room 13 and looked out the rear of the apartments. There were only 2 plug sockets in our room which can be a bit inconvienient but no real problem. I would advise getting a fan, we had the sun most of the day and it was quite hot when we returned from the beach. Very quiet apart from some road noise at night (the studios are not on a main road, but we could see the road that goes past the view point from our balcony). I would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone wanting somewhere close to everything. I want to go back! |

Just got back from Michalis Studios in Skala - They are basic but clean and close to all the local amenities.
Our studio (15) was smaller than others we saw and only had one plug socket (Choose between a fan - {definatley necessary} or a mosquito plug !!) But as a last minute deal they were well worth the money.
The Apts are really close to the beach (via steep slope and steps) and 2 mins walk to the main street. There seems to be a lot of building going on in Skala at the moment although we didnt experience much construction noise at all.
I really enjoyed our stay at the Michalis and would reccomend these studios to anyone.
We had to buy a fan for E15 from a local supermarket as it was warm in the rooms but what do you expect from Kefalonia in July!!!!
They also let you use a room for a shower when vacating your apt at 10.00am on your morning of departure.
Dont worry about not having a pool - There are hundreds of hotels and bars with free use of pool and the beach is beautiful (E6.00 per day for 2 x sunbeds and a parasol)
ENJOY !!! It's a beautiful place!!!

I have just returned from the Michalis studio and we had a lovely time. It was on a side street just a few minutes walk away from all the bars, shops and restaurants. The room was clean and bright. We were in room 12 which was on the first floor at the back of the studios. They were cleaned regularly the sheets/towels were changed twice weekly. There is a lovely restaurant just around the corner called Socrates which was really nice. Food was reasonable and the owner nice and friendly. Lots of locals eating in there which added to the atmosphere.Really good daily specials.I would definately go back to Skala is a lovely place to go for a relaxing break. There are plenty of free pools to go to. The pikonas had a lovely pool right on the promende which was new and clean and waiter service to your sunbed. Skala was fairly flat and pretty. Everything pretty much on one street and enough choice to eat out somewhere different each night.
The only down side was the airport was a nightmare going home (sunday)it was really busy with only one booking in desk. Take a bottle of water as it was a long wait queuing outside. |

Just returned after two week stay at Michalis.
Ideally located for beach, bars, taverna and shops - but you need to be aware that there is a bit of building work going on around the property at the moment and the noise is a bit drastic, particularly between 8am and 12 noon.
Also no air conditioning so pretty hot during the night even with the windows open. |

| Just got back from staying at the Michalis Studios. We stayed there five years ago and its still a good. It could not be better placed in a quiet side street a stones throw from the beach and main street where the taverners are. We had room 5 at the rear which was very quiet it had two power sockets in the room the only slight thing is that coming in from a night out the room was very warm we even tried leaving a fan on which is an absolute must, but it did not make any difference apart from that it was perfect. Kept well clean throughout the week and we are definately looking to book there next year. The rep did not tell us about a fan but we know a guy called George in the high street would gave one to us to hire but probably worth asking the rep where to get one. |

The Michalis Studios are situated in a very good position, 2 minutes from the beach (Milos Beach Bar End) and 2 minutes from the main shopping street. It is located in a quiet residential street in the village and is very tranquil, for those people wanting a relaxing break, it is the place for you. Our room was on the ground floor with a patio facing the rear of the building and was very clean and airy. Our room was very large, but not all the rooms are as big as the one we stayed in. We only had one electrical socket in our room, so we bought an adapter plug from the supermarket to give us a little more power! The resort itself is excellent and has everything you could need, highlights for us were 'The Captains Bar', 'The Pines', 'The Flamingo' & 'The Old Village'. Solomos Supermarket seemed to be the best in my opinion. If anyone has any questions, please post here and I'll try and help as much as possible! I have some photo's to post as soon as I get round to it! |

| We found the apartments ideally situated close to the beach and tavernas. They were peaceful at night but if you are staying in a room at the back be warned there is building work going on nearby starting from 0730 am!!The room was clean when we arrived but we didn't think the sheets and towels were changed often enough during our stay and the bins were not emptied frequently enough.A fan is an absolute ESSENTIAL the rooms are very hot.Our room was a good size (14) but the sizes vary from room to room. |

| We enjoyed our stay at Michalis for the first two weeks in August 2004 it's,in a quiet road with only 2 mins down to the beach or 5 mins via the Roman Villa. Our room at the front was clean and tidy if a little small, if you want a larger room ask for one at the rear. Shops are all nice and close as are the resturants. There are no safety deposit boxes but you could use another appartments boxes very close by. |
