 Just got back from the Irielena Apartments and can honestly say I would never stay in them ever again. They have to be the worst accommodation I have ever stayed at in Greece. Granted the views are fantastic even the outside is adequate but inside is horrible. We were told we had a 2 bedroom apartment!! It had beds in two rooms but it definitely was'nt an apartment. The air con only did one bedroom (cost us 45 Euros per week) The kitchen was a room that had a piece of plasterboard between ourselves and next door to separate it into two rooms (it was'nt even a room more of a corridor). We have stayed in two star accommodation before in Greece but this is never a two star a one star at a push. As for the shower that I read on another review that was SO powerful, it might have been in 2005 but in 2008 its obviously worn out never to be replaced. Being in Kefalonia more than made up for the naff accommodation and we only put up with it because your not in it that often.
Kefalonia I would recommend, Irielena I definitely would not. |

Got home on tuesday 19th Sep. Stayed for two weeks (Room 15). Here we go...... The Hill is a killer! But when you see the view worth the hike!!
The rooms, in principle are Ok but could be better! I know it's Greece but there is no excuse for dirt! I took my Dettol wipes though and things were sorted quite quickly!
On the upside the sheets and towels were changes every three nights.

Holiday last two weeks in August 2006. Two adults and 1 teenager
Irilena Apartments are typically Greek, The rooms are basic, but very clean, fresh toewls and bedding every threedays, and our room was sweept and mopped daily. Bins are empted daily.
Spiros spoke little English (but Understood more) was always helpful and the only incident we had with a faulty tap was fixed within the Hour.
The 'Hill' does exist, so dont forget your towel, however the higher up the hill you are the more spectacular are the sunsets when viewed from the balcony.
We will be going back to these apartments. |

Just got back (10th Sept). The apartments were adequate, the utensils were the very basics you need, but what can you expect from self catering. Half of the time you eat out anyway. The hill up to the apartments is a killer, but when you see some of the roads up to the other apartment complexes you don't have much to complain about. Views from the patio / balcony were very good. Any problems were dealt with straight away by both the rep and the owner "Spiros". Can't complain. If you want the Ritz, book in at the Ritz. |

Irilena was a very beautiful hotel. The rooms wer nice and comfortable.
Loved the balcony where we sat in the evenings and listened 2 music being played in restaurant opposite.
Maid kept room clean (she only did it twice) as we kept waking up l8 lol
will definately be goin there next year!!!!!!!!! |

| Myself and my partner are going to Kefalonia on the 5th September. We are staying at the Irelini apts in Lassi! Has anyone stayed there? We have a maisonette. What is that like?! Is the hill really that bad??!!
Basically, all I want to know is if it's clean! We're not expecting too much!! |

Got back yesterday having stayed at the Irelena apartments for a week and that was enough. If the apartments were slightly more updated and more importantly cleaned thoroughly it would have been more pleasant. Yes the hill is steep and wouldn't suit many people but you have the most incredible views and the outside of the apartments are very pretty. Really would like to say they are nice inside too but they just aren't! (although the air conditioning worked well).
Will definitely go back to Lassi its lovely, would probably go to the Metexa apartments - outstanding views, nice pool and pool bar.  |

| Me & me fella have just come back from Iri-Elena (Irilena) apartments in Lassi (06/06/06) and we found it very nice and a good place to stay. It is small and basic but clean and well looked after, with regular fresh sheets and towels, & it is cleaned and the rubbish is taken out daily. The hill is only short about 2 mins from top to bottom and it is in an ideal location with all the tavernas & bars of Lassi 5 mins to the left & Argostoli a 10-15 min walk to the right. If you're in one of the higher up rooms you get a fantastic view from your balcony & windows and a lovely breeze even on hot days. The only thing that was a bit of a pain was the shower cos it's a bit small, but you're only in there for 15 mins a day so who cares eh?
 P.S. Before we went we got the apartments confused with Irelena Hotel, but this is a lot further down the main street near the Princess Hotel for anyone with a map! Iri-Elena is up a hill opposite the Dolphin supermarket on the main Lassi road |

Iri-Elena are nice apartments. Just don't go expecting five star. Some of the apartments are a bit small.The accommodation is basic and clean, the views are amazing. The walk up the hill is fine unless you have SERIOUS fitness/mobility issues. Local shops grand, nearest beach Gradakia really pleasant and not too far.

FANTASTIC APARTMENTS. GREAT VIEW OF THE BAY AND SUNSET. SUN ON PROPERTY ALL DAY LONG.
ROOMS VERY CLEAN AND RUBBISH CLEARED EVERY DAY,GOOD TOWELS AND BATHROOM.
WALK UP TO APTS NOT TOO BAD BUT WORTH IT FOR THE VIEWS.
WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN. |

I cant BELEIVE some of the comments about the Irlelena Apartments.
Me, my friends and family have stayed there two years in a row, and thoroughly enjoyed our holidays BOTH TIMES. Irelena Apartments boast the most amazing views on Lassi, the balconys allow you to watch the beautiful Kefalonian sunsets every night. That "agonising and painful hill" (as someobdy wrote earlier!!) is hardly a mountain!! Jesus! Yes, it is steep, but its not an absolute trek and i actually beleive it could have been part of the reason i lost half a stone in two weeks. Our bed linen and towels were clean and fresh. They were changed every day. The accomodationis basic, yes, but it IS 2*. If you wanted the Ritz then you should've booked the bloody Ritz! The accomodation is clean, with lots of storage space, somewhere to cook, a fridge, seperate bathroom area with shower, toilet, sink etc... There is also a large dressing table with a mirror( good for getting ready to hit the town) The shower is SO powerful- it really wakes you up in the morning and is also a good hangover cure!!! Overall i would say that Irelena Apartments are an excellent two star accomodation, we were ALWAYS out and about but Irelena had the essentials for when we got back. A fridge for our beer and a beautiful view of Kefalonia What more could you want?!?! Recommended. |

My wife and I have just got back from a week in Kefalonia and had agreat time. We saw all the comments about Irilena on this website before we left and were expecting the worst. However, we found the apartment quiet, very clean (cleaned everyday) and an amazing view (espacially from No.4!). I can only think that some of the previous visitors must have been expecting too much for their money. Good value and wolud go again, even with the walk up the hill! |

| My husband and I stayed at the Irilena Apartments at the beginning of June 2004 for one week. The apartments were located at the top of a hill so there was quite a hike but the view from our balcony was well worth it. The apartment itself was not that nice, the room did have some windows but it was really dark, the bathroom was so small the toilet was practically in the shower and the bed linen was well worn and not that clean.(Probably best to take your own towells!). We hired a car and visited the other resorts and in our opinion Lassi is probably one of the better resorts to stay. We would not stay at Irilena again but would definately visit Kefalonia as we had a fantastic holiday. |

| we stayed in the irilena hotel in sept 2003 and on arrival we thought it was drab,especially as we were in room 1 next door to reception,but i have to say it was clean and there was minimum noise considering,we found the bar in the hotel was the cheapest in lassi always ended the night there, we met 3 other couples and we made everything a joke especially the boiled eggs every morning but it was enough.The lady that owns the hotel is such a character she made our holiday and her daughter was lovely.I would stay there again definetly it was central to everything. |

| I wouldnt recomend the Irilena apartments, the climb up to them is so steep that after two days I was in agony and could hardly walk. The apartments were so small, dark and dingy, and basic is an understatment.and you need your bath towles as there not provided. The only good thing was the view, but you get a good view up any mountain and thats what it felt like. I would never go there again. |
