We also stayed at Vinaries studios for 8 years, before moving here, only just seen that Kosmar have dropped it, bit late I know!I think they have gone independant; have found links at Kefalonia.Net.gr and an email address for them: Pantypas@hotmail.com....Hope this of use to anybody who loved there as much as we did...

After much searching and digging around I have discovered unfortunately that the vinaries have closed this year. I got in touch with an artist you works in Argostoli and he said that he walked up to the studios and saw that the pool had no water in it and the studios and site were deserted. This is a real shame.

Can anyone help?

I wanted to go back to the Vinaries studios again this year but for some reason Kosmar have dropped them, does anyone know why they have and if anyone else is doing them this year?

I have also stayed here in 2002 and thought it was brilliant. If anyone does know which company they are with now, I would be very grateful to hear.

I have stayed at Vinaries several times with Kosmar and absolutly love it. However they have dropped it this year. Does anyone know a UK holiday company that still goes there?

Stayed here 9th August 2002. Studios clean and basic (but everything you need). Only about 16 apartments,a few over looking the nice swimming pool, the rest set back a bit but all with beautiful views. They could do with more sunbeds!!!We kept telling our Rep! Its also a shame that the bar area doesn't seemed to have been used for years, so remember to get your fridge stocked up as the shops a hot walk and the studios are reached by a steep hill! Lovely stroll in to Argostolli about 25 mins. This was a lovely holiday and we would definitely stay here again. Very, very relaxing.

Stayed here a couple of times. Superb location, great views, quiet yet only half an hour's walk into Argostoli. Car or bike would be useful - forget Lassi, the best beaches are a long way away. Clean but basic, with a useable pool. What more could you possibly want ?

I am interested in The Vinaries apartments in Lassi but the brochure says they only have baths not showers. Is this correct?

Location excellent but as said before up a steep track which can be a bit dark at times. No poolside bar so make sure you have stocked up. Nearest supermarket at Campsite along the road is a joke. 1900 Restuarant along the road to the right does great food - not a chip in sight when we ate there. Averta cafe across the road by the sea is great for sitting and relaxing and enjoying the views.

We spent two weeks there in June 2002, the hill would be a problem to anyone with walking difficulties, but once you get there the view of Agostoli Bay and the mountains together with the peace and quiet make it all worthwhile. The rooms are very spacious and clean and the pool area is ideal for those days when you just want to chill out and relax. The nearest restaurant is at the bottom of the hill or go into Agostoli town which is only a 25 minute stoll away.

set in a lovely location but up a very steep track and i would not recommend it to less mobile people. Young people may find it boring here if they have no transport. We liked it and to be honest it probably will only appeal to those of you who like and appreciate the real type of greek holiday. You do need a car as it can feel very isolated. The rooms are a good size however old fashioned and basic!!.
