......
we're just back again from lassi, polymnia does it again for us(myself husband and 18 year old daughter).
we have been out 3 times and this was the best yet,we had brilliant company all the all time we were there(vicky, pat!!! you know who you are)and bill and missis and the others that now live on the island...
the rooms are basic, clean, and near to the main run(5mins walk)just right to have a quiet night on the balcony, with the bottle of wine on course...if you want.
we should try more greek islands but this one has us firmly in its grip.
hope you make the most of your hols by hiring a car to see the island, its stunning
have fun clare mal rachel xx

We stayed in apartment no. 3 (ground floor) and it was brilliant.  After reading the previous bad comments we were concerned, but had no need to be (our bathroom window did not fly open!).  The location is great, just a short walk away from the town.  The apartments are very quiet and modern compared to some greek accomodation, we even had a proper kettle!  The people in Kefalonia are very friendly, we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.

Stayed here June/July 2003. Nice apartments in a lovely setting. Would hve liked to have been on the next floor up to get a better view of the bay but the added bonus of the bottom floor was a larger sun terrace. No sign of a rep all week, not that that bothered us. The use of the Sissi Apartment pool next door was a bonus and is a nice large pool area with bar. Short walk down the lane to the main road of the resort. You can also take the road down which will take a bit longer.

So you are actually complaining when really they are exactly as advertised! 2 Star apartments where they have a mixture of studios for 2-3 people and apartments for 4-5. Check the brochure. As to a party of 3 never being in the apartments, wrong again! As with most self catering studios/apartments you can PAY underoccupancy charges to have a bigger apartment, as I have done. I could have been in a studio with my party of three but wanted more space so paid for it. If I had been on the ground floor, it would not have been a problem either and I would have kept the door locked and window shut if people could see in. Seems unfair to blame the accomodation?? Maid service everyday. As with most accomodation on the island this means a quick sweep and empty the buckets. Linen is usually changed midweek. This is not unique to Polymnia. I have spent ten weeks in Lassi in total and have been in every supermarket. To say the Dolphin charges three times as much is just garbage. Your use of language is unecessary and perhaps next year you should PAY for 5 star accomodation in Spain as that is clearly what you want.

Hi we stayed at the Polymnia apartments last year and had a great time. The views are amazing and the standards are very high. there is loads to do in Lassi and we found a couple of hotels and Bars that let you use their Pools for free.We are hoping to go back there in September and can't wait.

It is worth hiring a car as there is so much to see on the island of Kefalonia and it's worth going to Myrtos Beach as this is one of the top 10 beaches in the world.

Have a great time anyone who is going out to kefalonia this summer and i guarantee you will want to go back again and again.

Hi, Me and some friends are visiting Lassi on July 17th, has anyone got any tips for 4-5 students looking to have a good two weeks? Also is everything accessable within walking distance? If not is there good transport? Any help anyone could give would be greatly received, Steve

Just returned from 2 wonderful weeks in Kefalonia staying at the Polymnia apartments. We had apartment 1 which is very large compared to all the other Greek Islands we have been to. This was our second visit to Lassi and my only concern is now there seems to be on regular occasions very noisy motorbikes apparently racing up and down the main road at 3 or 4 in the morning.

Stayed 23/09 - 07/10 and recommend this accommodation 100% even though I have provided some constructive critisism. I visited Lassi 2 years ago with mum and this time was looking forward to sharing it with my boyfriend. We couldn't get the place I stayed with mum but were not disappointed by Apartment No.2, It is big, (2 bedrooms, 1 with double bed, 1 with twin beds). My only gripes are: - the bath was tiny and we had to use that as the shower wasn't powerful enough and the showerhead needs sorting as water came out horizontaly as well as vertically. They could also do with better cleaners (something resembling tomato ketchup on the kitchen floor when we arrived, was still there when we left. Finally I never realised toilet rolls were like gold dust, after the initial one ran out, we were never given any more and had to buy our own. Saying that, we both agreed we would definitely stay here again.

Read the web page before we went and were not disappointed. Pparty of 5 inc 2 children under 5. Had Apartment 2 which by experience of Greek Appartments was massive!, and very comfortable. The main balcony (size approx 10ft x 30ft) gave shade against the blistering sun for most of the day,a welcome relief especially with the small children. The Apartment was quietly located but near enough to walk to the shops and tavernas. One hint for future holidaymakers with small children is that, all the tavernas in Lassi did take-aways. This gave us the oportunity to feed the children earlier, put them to bed, then relax with Greek Cuisine on our own balcony.
Don't really want to recommend the appartment in case it is not available for us next time!

we had the whole of the second floor to ourselfs which is apartment no2 biggest apt we have ever had the veiw's are breathtaking and we had 4 balconeys 1 for each of us. you definatly need a car which we did and seen most of the island, which is lovely beaches around got a bit crowded, we found a really nice one at Avithos about 2 kilometers the other side of the airport, it was never packed always spare sunbeds and a beach bar there. the food was good. the only thing it lacked was a bar for everybody to get together at night.

When the coach driver dropped us off at the BOTTOM of the hill, in the midday heat, loaded down with suitcases, saying he couldn’t drive us up the hill, my heart sank. However, the rep organised a taxi to get us to our apartments and our holiday began. My husband and I, mother and 17 yr old niece stayed in Apartment No 1, and what an apartment it was. It was fabulous. We have been to several Greek islands in the past and the accommodation has varied greatly, but this was definitely the best. We had a very large balcony, which looked out onto tremendous views across the bay and out to sea. On entering the apartment, we found a spacious living area and kitchen, which were separated by a good sized breakfast bar. The kitchen was very well equipment, plenty of pots, pans, cutlery and crockery and a huge fridge. Everything was spotless. There was a lovely bathroom and the bedrooms were spacious with very comfortable beds and soooooo much wardrobe space. As well as the main balcony, the living room and both bedrooms had there own balconies too. As for the walk into Lassi, we found a short cut footpath, so it was only a 5min walk. The pool was lovely, clean and peaceful. Bravo Polymnia Apartments, can’t wait to come back.

Polymnia Apartments were interesting.. a little 'retro'! A short walk from all of the amenities and clean and comfortable. Access to neighbouring pool is permitted, although the beaches are excellent, if a little crowded at times. Definitely hire a car and explore the island, there's more to see than lassi and the views are breathtaking.

Restaurants and bars are getting a little pricey, which is not unusual. Visit Argostoli one evening for excellent dining and a relaxing feel
