My wife and I stayed here in 2012 and found it to be clean, modern, decorated to a high standard and so close to the beach it was mad ! I had to walk at least 50 yards after breakfast. The studios had obviously been redecorated after the previous 2 comments. I. have come back to this site as I will be going back in 2016. Katelios is a very quiet laid back ( almost boring ) resort, but if you are looking for somewhere to kick back ,catch some sun, catch up on your reading, and eat some lovely food, this is the place. A pleasant surprise is that since we last came they have built a new swimming pool it seems, I can't wait .

Stayed here at the end of June start of July 2009.  We had two rooms on the first floor with a balcony giving a side view of the sea and the mountains in the other direction, rooms on the ground floor would not have enjoyed such good views so worth requesting first floor.  Rooms comprised of a typical greek bathroom with handheld shower, sink and WC but perfectly adequate.  Bedroom was large with a double and single bed, table and chairs, and small "kitchen" area which was a sink, fridge and two electric hobs.  There was also an electric kettle and toaster.  Enough to do breakfast or a simple meal.  With numerous tavernas on your doorstep however why would you want to eat in?  There was also a hair dryer and iron.  Air con was the quietest I have ever experienced and was €40 per week and the safe €10.  The rooms were very clean on arrival and towels and sheets were changed once during the week.  My only criticism was the bins were only emptied every other day which being self catering and with the toilet roll disposal was not really acceptable.  Only met the owner Kostas on arrival but seemed very nice and showed us how everything worked etc and felt confident id there was a problem he would have resolved it.  Would definately recomend Notos from our experience.  Katelios was very quiet and more traditional than a lot of resorts.  Very friendly.  Plenty of tavernas with a lot serving fresh fish.  A few mini markets, a bakery, car hire and travel agents.  Beach is one minute from the Notos but not that brilliant there, better further along (5-10 mins) although not the best beach.  Lovely views though and not at all crowded.  Two sun beds and an umbrella at €6 a day.  Sea shelves gently and only a few stones as you first go in.  Beach is sand and stones.  Great bar called Dreams just behind with the cleanest toilets you will find in Greece, good food and drink and good hospitality.  All in all a great holiday and will definately return.  A new harbour is being built at the moment but this did not disturb us.

we went here in the first week of june 2005. our accomodation comprised two bedrooms and a bathroom leading off a central eating, cooking and sitting area together with a balcony with a nondescript view. the air conditioning was in the central area only.
for purported self-catering accomodation cooking facilities were woeful. a combined cooker/grill & two hobs coupled with a solitary frying pan and a small greek coffee pot. a limited collection of crockery with most glasses having been nutella jars in a previous life.
the shower room was windowless with some alarming looking wiring (bare wires inside the shower cubicle with joins wrapped in insulating tape leading to an extractor fan), sealant detaching from shower, a mop left in the corner and an oddly p**vasive smell of wd40. emptying the hand basin caused gurgles of water to spout from the central floor drain.
in early june there were also substantial drifts of fluff coming off the poplar trees so if you were prone to hay fever i'd think about going elsewhere on the island.
