Hi Babis, Angelos and the rest of the family and staff. Sorry we could not get to Kefalonia this year but no ferry from Zakynthos. Without doubt the best taverna we have eaten at.The whole menu is fantastic (I know, I was a tour guide). Kalo xeimonas boys and hope to see you all next year 2012. Steve (Stavros) and Carol. We usually like to try different restaurants when we are on holiday, but having found this one we decided to stick with it for the whole of our two weeks in June.

The staff were really friendly, including the "back room staff ", and even though some nights were quite busy they always had time to have a chat and recommend dishes. The family have their own farm so all the meat was excellent, and each night there is a special on top of the already extensive menu.

We noticed other people regularly returning each night too.

During our stay we celebrated our wedding anniversary, and were presented with a huge anniversary cake on that evening - it was so big we has to share with surrounding tables. This was lovely and unexpected, especially as I had been joking with Angelos all week that his cake desert would make me fat, so I had been having the friut option.
Everyone came out to say goodbye on our last night and I would certainly recommend this restaurant, and will be heading back next time we visit Kefallonia.

What a great restaurant on this "Crazy Island"!!!

Fantastic food, great service, we loved it so much that we kept going back for more!... This is not normal for us as we always like to try new places, but the menu had plenty of choice and there was a special on every day.  The owner of the local supermarket recommended that we try this restaurant on our first evening and we were not disappointed.

The moussaka was wonderful and we loved the courgette balls.  The lamb and fish dishes were amazing. The food was always beautifully presented and hot!  Great wines too.. we especially liked the Linos red and the Robolo white.

All of the staff were extremely pleasant and Agelos helped to organise a surprise meal for my husbands special birthday and generously arranged a scrumptious birthday cake!

We will definitely return to Perasma!

Recently visited Agia Efimia, and loved Kefalonia generally.

I have to say though that our experience of eating at To Perasma, was disappointing, and quite frankly upsetting.

We were served by the gentleman on the right of the attached picture - which I just copied from somebody else's comment.

The waiter asked each of us what we wanted - but because I am completely deaf in my right ear, could not hear what he said to my brother to my right, and so I did not realize what was said between them.

So when I asked what was apparently the same question as my brother - this waiter became annoyed and downright rude in his response to me - and even threw in some rude and sarcastic remark, when I tried to explain my deafness to him.

If I had been there on my own, I would have left immediately - and I would never eat at this restaurant again.

The best restaurant in Agia Efimia, is without doubt Pergolas - whose wonderful friendliness and courteousness, was in stark contrast to that found in To Perasma.

One interpretation of " Perasma" in my English/Greek dictionary is "much visited place" and so it should be. The food was great and the service superb. Angelos and his brother and colleagues are friendly and always welcoming. We would like to thank them all for adding to the pleasure of visiting Aghia Efimia.

click to enlargeWe stayed at the island of Kefalonia from 19th May until 26 May en we enjoyed our stay there very much.  Eating at your restaurant in the evening was an excellent way of finishing the day. The food and drinking was very good and the personnel was pleasant.  So, your restaurant gave a very nice contribution to our wedding travel.

We only missed the Greek music. So, it might be a good idea to organise a nice Greek band during a dinner at your restaurant. But everything was nice.

Excellent food at very reasonable prices.  Good friendly service by Angelo and his brother Babbit.  Always full against most of the other tavernas in the town, which says it all to me.  Nothing is too much trouble.  We'll be back in August.

Magic Sticks click to enlarge Agelos & Babit + mum & crew thank you for making our retun to Aghia as pleasant as when you all used to be at Gonatas. We ate at your place nearly every other night and couldn't stay away last three nights. Didn't appreciate being marched to kitchen to explain to chef why not finished dinner :) ( as I said I was sooo full) Thanks from all four of us Andrew Paul Viv & Alan

Food was okay here and prices were okay too.  The only thing that put us off was the one waiter that looked like he was chewing a wasp and didn't smile at all.  Maybe needs a change of livelyhood.

Maria R          10/10

Hi to Angelos and all his family and staff at 'To Perasma'.

We have just returned from our two weeks in Aghia Efimia and once again returned to our favourite taverna.
This is our fourth year running in the resort.  We were instantly recognised by Angelos on our first evening.

There is always a warm welcome, for everyone.  Nothing is too much trouble.

New visitors can't miss it. It's on the waterfront and  the one that is busy, every evening.
The place with the pale blue chairs!!!!!!!!!!!! Many of the customers are regulars and large groups from the flotillas frequent the place.  The locals use the taverna, which is always a good sign!

The food is excellent  always freshly prepared! There is a special dish and a complimentary dessert each evening.  This year we did try an alternative for one night only, and boy did we regret it . The Posieden was lifeless, it was like a morgue and the food was disappointing.  Needless to say we returned to our favourite place and stayed with it for the two weeks, except when we went over to Zakynthos  to see our daughters.

Angelos, we won't forget to tell those on the day trip from Zakynthos to visit your place!!!!! Don't forget to send the Retsina back to us.
See you soon. have a great summer.

Didn't make it to Kefallonia this year but am pleased to see that To Perasma has received favourable comments from those who have discovered it.  First met Angelo and his mother Frosso in 1993 when they were at the Pylaros taverna opposite the jetty on the main road.  They then went to the Hotel Gonatas before Angelo took the plunge and set up on his own.  The food has just got better.  His brother Pabis is also a waiter there and until last year his girlfriend Dora was waiting on - maybe by this year Pabis has got around to marrying her!!!!  Where ever we stay on the island we always make at least 2 visits to see the family and sample their food.

We had lunch here one day while doing the island tour with Kosmar. I had a Greek salad which was excellently prepared my wife and son decided to share a pizza. Lucky they did it was huge and freshly homemade, i tried a slice and it was delicious. The service was good and the waiter friendly, when he served the pizza he apologised for it being a while but explained they made them fresh, we certainly weren't complaining. Only minor down was they charged me extra for paying by credit card.
