Just got back from Skala and only ate here once as we were not impressed. I ordered home made mushroom pies for my starter, (as a vegetarian...I assumed they would be safe) but they came full of meat. My partner did enjoy his starter of Kalamari. The main course that I wanted, they had apparently run out of, so had the spaghetti which was ok....you can't really go wrong with it can you? However my partner ordered the steak, and it just looked like everything had been thrown onto the plate. The presentation was rubbish and he had lots of grizzle.
Won't be going back!

Lovely restaurant, 5 minutes from the beach. Very tasty food (especially the bread) not particularly different from most other restaurants there- they all do the same food, but nice waiters and good air conditioning!

We have been coming toScala for 12 years sometime twice per year, we have spent alot of time with Akis and all the staff in Mi Abeli, always top notch, Akis always goes the extra mile and we love it, My husband Jim and Akis have a great rapport but it is all in good fun, the owners hold a special place in our hearts we admire and respect them Mrs, is a great chef, we are coming out again in June for 2 weeks for our Ruby wedding, then again for 2 weeks in August with all our family, can't wait.The food is fab and the service for us very special ,we always have a reserved table with flowers how nice is that, but I know Akis is taking the p**s, but hey it makes me feel good, can't wait.Elizabeth and Jim Newcastle upon tyne |

Ate at Mi Abeli three times during our 2 weeks,and was happy all three times,the kefalonion meat pie was the best kef pie i've ever had out of all of the islands i've been too,the starters were good and the desserts were good too,happy chappie! |

 Mi Abeli - What can i say but FANTASTIC!!!
The food is Traditional Greek, which is what we love. The People who work there make you so welcome, we went there 3 nights in our holiday which shows how much we loved it.
One of our favourite dishes we had there was Lamb Mi Abeli which is Lamb slow roasted in a clay pot with potatoes and lemon, vegetables and herbs 
This restaurant was busy every night we were there, and there was greek people dining there too, not just tourists which i think says it all. |

Souvlaki was tough beyond belief, vine leaves smashed up and badly presented.

Truly excellent food and service. We eat here most nights when in Kefalonia - in fact 11 out of 14 nights this year (our 5th holiday on the island). The Stamnaki dishes are especially good, but don't let me influence your choice - it's all good and if you like Baklavas, then I would say Mi Abeli has the best that I've ever eaten. If only UK restaurants were this good - it would never happen in a million years!
Be sure to say Hi to Akis if you read this before you pay a visit. |

Sadly I never got the chance to eat here, but it looked amazing. My friend went there (we met on holiday) and said it was so nice.
I got really close to a waitor there  however, and he was the most loveliest person I've evet met :) - and if he's anything to go by, I would say that if you ate at Mi Abeli it would be one of the most enjoyable evenings :) |

My Wife and I ate here twice during our recent 1 week stay, we found the service very quick,food lovely,waiters polite and we were treated to free drinks all night because it was our wedding anniversary.

Myself, my husband and my family love this place. The food is good (and there's lots of it) and the staff are friendly. Its in an excellent location to watch the world go by! |

Not really bowled over by this one, inasmuch that each time we went our chosen dishes had all sold out and there was one waiter who was particularly over friendly with the ladies. Great location for people watching though. |

Not sure why this restaurant gets a 10 /10 ... centrally placed but very tourist focussed food. Good if you want euro food with chips. Pleasant enough staff but our food was very average. Fish platter was done in breadcrumbs and completely overcooked. Feta was average ... would not go back - too many other more traditional restaurants with superior food. |

| Easily the best food in Skala. Fabulous grilled meats including outstanding souvlaki. Unusually, the veggie options were also excellent, with mouthwatering briam (baked vegetables) which was the best we'd tasted. Service was quick and friendly. Marvellous!! |

We ate here twice on our fortnights holiday we found the staff pleasant the food also very nice, my wife on both occasions had Chicken Soulvaki which was cooked to perfection and came with rice topped with a tomato sauce which gave enough flavour not to need more seasoning. |

Mi Abeli was one of our favorites and we ate here twice for dinner and once for lunch. The service is excellent, it was always busy in the evenings, and it is probably one of the more traditional restaurants you will find in Skala. The prices are also very competitive and very good value for money. The only negative as with all the restaurants in Skala is that the main comes too quickly after the starter. |

Although the food was Ok, I found a huge sharp piece of plastic on my souvlaki and when complained did not even receive an apology. When the bill came they still charged us full price and to top it off tried to shortchange us 10 euro's!!! |

We at here several times during our weeks stay - we were impressed with the speed of service (the food arrived really quickly, and the restaurant was busy), the food was good, with good service and a pleasant atmosphere - recommended :) |

We just loved it here.
There are plenty of places to go in Skala which are highly recomended on this webn site, we couldn't try all of them but would recomend this restaurant to anyone. We're in our early 40's and went away without the kids (4 of them) for the first time and loved Skala and Mi Abeli will be one of our fondest memories.
OK I've used the same text as for Paspalis but service and food at both was excellent and.............................................................. What more can I say |

We only ate here one night, but the service was lovely!! My partner and I had just arrived and were very beaten up & tired from the plane - the staff could not have been more accommodating. They were all so friendly!!!
The food was good!! We watched some greek dancing over there from the bar across the road and the atmosphere was really special!!! |

Only ata here the once but that was once to many,lamb chops were not only over cooked but burnt black,none of the food was hot and in all very disapointing,def the worst meal in the two weeks we were there.
