We're returning to the Paspalis in June.  This will be our 7th visit and we can't wait.  It really is a special place.   I can't understand why some people make derogatory remarks.  Nikos, Ria and Peter are so friendly and helpful; I am flabbergasted at some comments.  In fact, we dropped Nikos an email recently requesting our favourite room and we received a reply almost immediately.  Also looking forward to going to Zante on Captain Vangellis's boat.  Roll on the 19th of June!!

Yet another fantastic holiday at this wonderful hotel. After 9 years it is really home from home for us. Many thanks to Nikos and all his staff . They never fail to live up to expectations. See you all next year.

My Wife and I have just returned and can say this is the best place to eat.We did try others, but the food and friendly service were very good and the food was always fresh(not always the case in other places). The added extra of being over the road from the beautiful water just added that something extra.Lunch or evening  still the same high standard

My wife and I used to say, with there being so many Greek islands/resorts to choose from we'd never go back to the same place twice.  This was before we stayed at the Paspalis Hotel.  We have just spent another (our fifth visit) fabulous two weeks at the Paspalis.  Its location, friendly staff and terrific taverna really make holidaying at the Paspalis fantastic.  Special thanks to Nikos, Ria and Peter.  No doubt we'll return next year.

My wife and I have been visiting the Greek islands for the past 15 years and Skala and the Paspalis Hotel are most definitely our favourites. We stayed here, 17th of  June to the 1st of July 2007, and we can't wait to return on the 2nd of September for another two weeks. Everything about the Paspalis is just perfect. And Captain Vangelis does some really excellent cruises, especially the sunset cruise!!

I am really glad to hear that the Paspalis is as warm and freindly as it has always been. And am happy that not too much buliding has been going on. That is the only fear, ruining the village by building too many hotels and apartments. Can't wait until September back to the Papspalis, for the 6th time.

We, too, have just returned from staying at this hotel and have to say everything was superb. Nikos greeted us as we walked up the steps and we just knew we had made a good choice. The rooms were clean and tidy and the shower was one of the best I have had in Greece. It had a good size pool area and there were always plenty of sunbeds. The bar area was very pleasant to sit in and then there is the view and what a view it was. We spent many hours having a drink just looking out to sea. All the staff were very friendly and could not have been more helpful. We will be returning not only to Skala but to this wonderful hotel. Well done to all.

We were at the Paspalis the same weeks as Sam Watts and second his comments, very friendly restaurant and bar staff (hello to Ria from 2 large beers!) and cleanliness of rooms couldn't be faulted and we thought the Flamingo (the next restaurant up from the Pines on the high street) in particular served excellent food .
This was our third visit to Skala (2nd time at Paspalis) and whilst there has been some development (mainly on the backwhacks) the resort remains as chilled out as ever.
Superb holiday and will be revisiting for sure.

Have just spent two weeks in the clean ,tidy and very well run hotel Paspalis in Scala .Its just across the quiet road from the beach and just five minutes walk to the shops and restaurants in the centre of Scala  . Our room was plenty  big enough (for two ) with balcony, fridge with small freezer compartment, telly and a nice powerful shower. No tea making facilities unfortunately ,safebox in wardrobe at extra cost . There was a large swimming pool with a small bit sectioned off  for smaller children. The bar and restaurant were superb, friendly staff and a wonderful panoramic view of the ocean (see photo )  We met lots of people from other hotels moaning about this and that , but after a tour of the island we were more than satisfied with our choice of hotel and resort .

Here we are in rainy old Devon wishing it was last week and we were still in Scala, having a fantastic time. The two weeks we spent in the Paspalis from 24th Sept till 8th Sept were brilliant, getting married in the town hall at Scala was out of this world and made all the better by all of people who put so much effort in to making our day for us ,so thank you to you all its a day we will never forget. The Paspalis exceded our expectations and the fact that we were lucky enough to get room 43 made it all the better the food here is also exellent. We hope to return SOON.

Pics show the flower girls bobarding us on our return and us cutting our fab cake

Well we have just arrived back from two weeks at Pas Palais and we can't recommend the hotel enough.
We had a lovely room spotlessly clean with a sea view.
The staff were really friendly and helpful. We had a free fridge in the room and a free tv which we could get CNN and BBC World news and the fashion channel. We hired a fan as opposed to air-conditioning and Nicos didn't even charge us the second week. Breakfast was great as there was plenty on offer but you could also pay for a cooked breakfast if you wanted.
Pool was lovely and big but very cold! Liked the fact that there were books and magazines and papers to borrow and contribute to.
The worse problem was the wasps especially at breakfast.
All in all would certainly go back toPas Palais again - the views over the sea whilst eating are just wonderful.

Well here we are back from Kef(Boo Hoo)   another fabulous holiday at the Paspalis.Nicos,Rhea,Hercules andAndreas and Faye were as always pleased to see us.We met some wonderful people,we even joined in a wedding celebration of Linda and Andrew  ,the bride looked gorgeous in purple and the groom wore a light coloured suit,we gathered flower petals and showered them when they came back for a small reception.Apart from two horrendous days of rain the weather was lovely for the rest of our stay.We had a great day out on ITHIKA.Can't wait to go again

Paul

The hotel had an excellent setting , our room was very small for 3 of us and had no view whatsoever although the maid kept it nice and clean , food here was good and the option to buy breakfast was handy , Nikos the owner was a nice enough bloke and the bar staff were very friendly , only problem was that they shut the bar at 1am no matter how many customers they had , pool was nice and the most annoying thing are the WASPS  !!!!!!!!!!!!! ok now for the beach , this was a major disapointment as there is no way it is what i would describe as sand , more like pebbles and shingle , no chance of a sandcastle here !!! we found MOUNDA beach which was lovely though , Overall it was a nice holiday but i don`t think we would return in a hurry , having been to Zakynthos the past 4 years i think it is much nicer but thats just my own opinion , glad we tried here though ,

Came back off holiday in July, the stay at the Paspalis was fantastic and we are definately going back there hopefully next year.  Nicos, Greer, Andreos, Faye etc etc were all superb and friendly.  Short walk into the village to the restaurants and shops but I must say that we ate mostly at the Paspalis in the evenings.  Beach is sandy and gorgeous views.  I must suggest the sun cruise, sailing from Argostoli to a lovely small island where you have a barbeque on the beach, play volleyball in the sea and cover yourselves with green mud (apparently very good for complexion) oh so much fun and laughter while doing it!!!  Captain Makis on boat is absolutely hilarious and makes you feel very welcome onboard, we even managed to see dolphins swimming beside the boat on the way to the island, how fantastic is that!

The rooms in the Paspalis are lovely, clean and quite spacious, the breakfasts are quite limited but very nice.  What a relaxing holiday, possibly wouldnt take older children there though as I think they could get quite bored after a while, my suggestion is a relaxing holiday for adults!

Paul

thats it all packed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OFF TOMORROW , yipeeeeeeeeeeeee !!!!!!!!!!!!

Paul

Thanks , can`t wait now , in need of a relaxing break , what`s the best bars and restaurants in your opinion ,

Rose D

We are going back to PasPalis on Sept 24th looking forward to seeing everyone again,Nicos and staff made us welcome 2004,we have been there before but it was a long time ago before they had a pool.We can't fault it,it is not noisy and there are plenty of shops up in the village.See you there !!!
