Antonia Studios - (Accommodation in Lourdas)

Excellent view of the sea and Zante in the distance.

Very good, clean basic room with fridge, camping stove type cooker (perfect for Greek coffee!).

Was informed that hot water only available until 1800 due to solar electricity but it was actually available at all times.

No reception or safety deposit boxes but to be honest you won't need either as nothing will go wrong and no thug-tourists in the resorts (thankfully).

The owner, Makis, is usually at the bar next to the pool from lunchtime onwards and there is always either a cleaner or gardener on site who can answer any questions re plumbing, electricity etc.

As I said, fantastic views of the sea. Can see Zante very clearly on some days. Also, one day we heard the sound of bells and was rewarded with the sight of a goatherd moving his flock down the road behind the apartments!

It is a great base for either Trapezaki and Lourdas beaches (if you don't mind a few kilometres walk).

As you walk out of the studios, there is a supermarket just to the left (all of several seconds away!) and a nice restaurant a few meters further to the left.

All in all a good basic studio apartment with friendly, helpful staff in a splendid location.

Oh, the view is pretty good too!

Greek Islands - (Restaurants in Lourdas)

Marc   (June 20, 2006)

Good food and friendly staff.

Around 30 euros for 2 coruses for 2 people with 1 litre of local wine.

La Mer Restaurant - (Restaurants in Lourdas)

The best in Lourdas by far

Varied menu and good service (and the world cup on the telly!)
Cheese pies for starters are a must!

Spiros Restaurant - (Restaurants in Lourdas)

Food was decent.

Souvlaki very good but the microwaved frozen veg spoiled it really (could see an array of 3 white microwave ovens from seating area!!).
Service good and they use the old fashioned credit card machines too!

Seven Cafe Bar - (Bars in Lourdas)

THE place to go either before, during or after a day at the fantastic Lourdas beach.

Nice relaxing music - Illy coffe - a vast selection of food from Greek salad to breakfast and toasted sandwiches.
Very good service.
The bar is located on the 2nd floor with a canopy to keep the sun off but it was nice to feel the sea breeze whilst relaxing.
There is a telescope that anyone can use to take a look at Zante in the distance.
By far the better of the few Lourdas beach cafears.
