We called it hideaway beach, if you come out of the Makis apartments and turn right,approx20yds on your left is a cemetry wall, walk down beside this and you will come to a secluded little beach.

The cemetry is also worth looking at,very nicely kept.

Olympic Holidays - (Tour Operators in Kefalonia)

Kevin 3

click to enlargeclick to enlargeclick to enlargeApart from having our flight changed from early morning to afternoon,

things were going well until we were dumped at the Airport with the rep doing a dissapearing act (yes Karen you).
It was obvious why  when we got there? but what made it worse was the way we were told quite calmly " once youve booked in you can have bite to eat and sit under the pergolas outside and relax" come on Karen either youve not been there or your blind.
by the time we got booked in departures we were leaving on the plane.
then the confusion: Everyones tickets said 2100hrs departure, only to be told by the olypic rep there that it never was 2100hrs but 2145hrs and that out rep should have told us.as it turned out we took off at 2130hrs.
but despite that arrived on time. (come on Karen you can do better).be honest with your customers and tell them what to expect.

Should you visit say hi from us will you.

A bit dissapointed really,

I had the Kefalonia Pie and thought it was bland and tasteless,so we decide to give it a second chance, with the Greek night.
Although the Greek night was excellent the food seemed lacking?
but what put us off was finding a cockroach on the table.
Shame we had heard a lot of good comments about this retaurant.

Finikas Restaurant - (Restaurants in Agia Efimia)

Kevin M

click to enlargeNothing special about this one ,service was average to poor, some days seemed interested and other days not.

Had the giros special which was a bit on the salty side.
Shame i like Giros normally.

Argostoli - (Resorts in Kefalonia)

Kevin M

click to enlargeclick to enlargeclick to enlargeWe only went shopping here, but enjoyed it all the same.

The only warning i can give for here is:if your going shopping choose your time carefully as they close for siesta from 1400-1800.

Hard one really?,a nice place to see but seemed overcrowded with boats and yachts,in my view seemed to spoil its character.

We also found that the shop keepers here (not all)were not very polite as in other places, they would take your money, but no thank you's or can I help.
maybe they are fed up with tourists?
