Makis Apartments

Have stayed at Makis' Apts/houses twice. Very nice, clean, staff friendly and helpful, views from our balconies were stunning. Makis' used to do meals but I think now in 2011 he has built on more apts and only does breakfasts, I could be wrong, phone him! http://www.makisapartments.com/kefalonia.html Aghia Efemia is a really lovely little village and harbour with good tavernas, where you can eat at any time of the day and evening! The little beaches near to Makis are perfect for chilling out on. Take snorkels and rubber sandals and swim with the fish! I've still got pix I took with my underwater camera! Delightful apartments with amazing surroundings :)

We were at Maki's twice in September 2009 and again in September 2010 and we hope to go back again this year. Both times we said that we will not be looking for different accommodation for future holidays.
Once again every recommendation for Makis, his apartments, and the island it self.

I went to the Makis Apartments in July 2005, me, my mum, dad and brother absolutely loved it to bits. We all agreed that it was the best place in Greece we have EVER been and we have been to around 12 different Greek Islands!!!!! Makis and the staff were all brilliant, they were all so friendly and helpfull. Nothing was too much for the staff. They would advise to go try out the best places on the island and tell you how to get there, best times to go etc...

We got really friendly with makis and the waiter (manuel) and they even gave my brother a nick-name!!!! ((jack daniels))

 

We have all agreed that we are going back to Makis Appartments in 2007 and we are looking so forward to it.  

 

the makis studio is the worst holiday apartment i have stayed in. the list of faults with the apartment are endless ranging from exposed electrical wiring, broken windows todirty bed settees and insufficient crockery. the room was so dangerous we had to keep the children out unless sup**vised by an adult. however the area was nice and the pool and bar exellent. the greek evening each friday is too expensive and most who attended felt 'ripped off' with the price and standard of food.highly recommend hiring a car to visit some of the excellent beaches in particular myrtos beach, but even this didnt compensate for the dismal accomodation.

one the the best greek islands and the best hotels makis and his stuff are the most kind and helpful people the food there and other tavens are good

A very quite  part of Kefalonia but plenty of tavernas to choose from,

the people were very freindly and helpful.

The cleanres did a brilliant job of keeping the rooms rooms clean and even tidied up after us.

A very pleasent stay.

June 2005 temps were 25-35degrees very warm and pleasent, with the sea water warm too.

We Stayed at the Makis Apartments from 19th June - 3rd july 2005,

And had apartment 24 (best Apartment there.

Fantastic views rooms were kept very clean by the daily visits from the cleaners. all in all could not fault it.

nice size pool and Makis himself is a very friendly and helpful guy,air conditioning is extra at 5euros a day.

just returned apartments good position, nice and clean, good sized. We had apartment overlooking pool with a sea view.

Just returned today, excellent, best apartments had in Greece very clean, good pool area not far to walk to the harbour.

We stayed at Makis in May this year and absolutely loved it. The apartment was a good size and had a balcony that looked out over the bay to Ithaca. The view was breathtaking. The apartment was clean and Makis and his staff were very friendly and helpfull. They offered a discount for breakfast and lunch in their restaurant and we had some very good meals. Definately one of the best restaurants in Agia Efimia. They organised a Greek Night with music and dancing, which was great fun.We went all over the island in a hire car and we did not find anywhere we would rather have stayed.

I am going to Makis Apartments in May 2003 and I wish to hire an automatic car for 8 days. Does anyone know of any companies on the Island? Would be really grateful for any information.

My family and I spent our holidays at Makis' in 2000 and 2001 we had two fantastic holidays there. The kids loved the pool and the arcade game in the downstairs bar. My youngest daughter Alex, who was 9 at the time, stood on a sea urchin and had about 20 spines in her foot. Makis, exuding calmness, said "no problem" in his usual nonchalant manner and produced a bottle of olive oil and cotton wool. He dabbed the broken spines with the olive oil and half an hour later all the spines had miraculously popped out. The food at Makis' was very good, try the mussel saganaki.

went there last july Makis and his family made us very welcome .The food in the restaurant was excellent.The pool was clean very good views of the bay. Definately will go back again .It was a totally relaxing time

Our apartment was typically basic although it did have a television. The best thing was the swimming pool and the fantastic view of the bay and the island of Ithaca. It was a breathtaking view in the morning as the sun rose from behind Ithaca.
