| Have visited Kefalonia several times. Our first was spent staying in Poros at the Vanessa Studios. Beautiful location above possibly the best Taverna on the Island. Fantastic food and wine. Try the Lamb Souvlaki! Can get noisey of an evening as the restaurant is 30 yards off the beach and above the Taverna. However, waking at 06;00a.m every morning to the sound of the waves gently lapping on the shore is hard to find anywhere else on the Island. A Local Bakery is on;ly 20 yards down the road plus an excellent shop, petrol station, Chemists and Post Office located in the centre of town. Poros is ideally located as Skala is but 20 mins down a coastal road plus Poros is also located near many historical sites and Attractions. Internet Access can be also found in Bar Mrtos which is found on the sea front. Thoroughly recommend sending a few photos to your friends and work colleagues whilst you're out there - guarenteed to make them jealous every time! |
