Such a beautiful place...well worth a visit. We stayed at Anthis Beach Apartments which are lovely with beautiful views over the little bay. All the multi-coloured houses along the marina are so pretty and it's not as expensive as everyone made out to us...
I had read loads of great reviews on this site about Da Veronica's so we went on our first night and were really disappointed! The food was good but it took us about 40 minutes to get our starter and then another 40 minutes to get our main meal...and no apology whatsoever!
We decided to try Sirtaki as it was packed every night and we weren't disappointed, the food was great and the waiters were real charachters!! As below...make sure you get a jacket potato as they wre delicious!!!
We're just back from an amazing two weeks in Kefalonia and whilst we were there my partner and I got engaged...we took the ferry across to Lixouri and then he drove us over to the west side of the peninsula, to a little place called Kapouria, and we had a picnic on the cliff at sunset - very romantic!!
This beach is absolutely stunning...from above it's like a picture postcard for the Caribbean and once you're on the beach it's fab...it's not as shingly as we had been told it was and the water is the most turquoise water I've ever swam in and very flat...there are apparently strong under currents but we weren't aware of them at all...a must see!!
