Nefeli Restaurant - (Restaurants in Lassi)

It looks like this restaurant is declining as the year goes by. We visited on two occassions, and was disappointed with the food. Maybe they have a different chef. Small portions, and chips and rice with each meal. The waiters could have done with being a bit more friendlier to make the atmosphere much better.

Makris Gialos Beach - (Beaches in Kefalonia)

This beach was lovely, although a bit overcrowded. Beware of the man who rents out the sunbeds, he seems to charge what he likes between 8 - 10 euros, depending on if your English, Greek or Italian. English being the most expensive.

Trapezaki Beach - (Beaches in Kefalonia)

Lovely beach, and the small bar serves beutiful iced coffees. Sunbeds were only 7 euros for two, which was much cheaper than most others. We went to this beach last year aswell, and it seemed just as good value this year.

Marianna Studios - (Accommodation in Lassi)

Very clean and tidy studios. The cleaners are very polite and friendly. We found it to be quite noisy during the day from 10am-6pm, as our studio overlooked the pool, which was also open to the public, which made the pool area and gardens crowded with people not actually staying at Marianna. Not enough privacy on the balconies either. A lot of noise from the roadside especially in the evening. Would not recommend Marianna studios for quietness as advertised in brochure.

Lassi Resort - (Resorts in Kefalonia)

We visited Lassi last year, and actually stayed there this year. We found it to be very much geared up for the English market, and seems to have lost some of the Greek charm, which most resorts on Greek islands have. Found the locals very friendly. Ths shops seem to sell all the same tacky souvenires, so not much choice, unless you want a beach towell or baseball cap, which there are plenty. Lassi is very much a place for families, but not much to do for young teenagers, I should imagine they would be quite bored after a few days. Lovely beaches, although quite crowded in high season. Restaurants vary in prices, although all seem to have gone up in price quite a bit since last year. Maybe that has something to do with the Euro. I would hate to think that the honesty of the Greek people is changing, and they are starting to rip us off. Veronicas Jewellery shop is value for money. Last year I bought a ring from there for £145.00, had it valued in England later that year, and was worth £445.00 Good deal or what. Bought more jewellery this year, but have not had it valued yet.
