Just got back from two weeks at this amazing hotel. Everything about it was wonderful. The staff are polite and helpful, our maid was lovely and she kept our room spotless. The bathrooms are beautifully fitted with the most amazing showers. We had a small kitchenette area (as we were self catering and had a studio), a lovely main area with twin beds and plenty of room and although the balcony was quite small, it was more than adequate for us to have our breakfast in the morning and a glass of wine late in the evening. The pool is clean and warm and because this hotel caters for mainly adults, it was lovely to swim around without being splashed by children. The location is right on the beach and with temperatures up in the high 30's every day, it is nice to get away from the sweltering heat around the pool. At least there is a breeze coming in off the sea! The Aeolos restaruant is excellent and if you are staying at the Nine Muses you also get a 10% discount - and you can sit out on the terrace and watch the sun sink down over the Ionian sea. We had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel and have already booked up to go again the same time next year. If you are going soon, you will not be disapointed.

We went on this trip during our stay on Kefalonia and it was a top day! The glass bottom boat is only small and I did find that we were a bit cramped, but we did see the dolphins which was just amazing seeing them swimming along side the boat. Stopped at XI beach (which was beautiful ) for a spot of beach volley ball and a BBQ - the food was great!! And lots of local wine to wash it all down!! One word of warning - it was a blazing day when we went, but you don't realise it because of the breeze on the boat, so do take plenty of suntan cream and make sure you apply it regularly. We got sunburnt shoulders!!!

I quite agree - First Choice don't deserve all the bad comments on this page. Perhaps we were lucky, but our flight out to Kefalonia
left right on time and coming home we even left slightly earlier. The flight was excellent - our booked seats were upgraded to extra leg room at no extra cost, and the flight crew were polite and helpful. The plane was clean, tidy and looked fairly new. When we landed on Kefalonia, our transfer to our accommodation was excellent. We didn't sit for ages on a hot coach waiting for people to get on like we have experienced at other resorts. Our reps at the resort were good fun and were never pushy when it came to the trips etc. There were always around if we needed any information at any time. The quiz night they organised was one of the best evenings we had during our stay. Our holiday was booked on the First choice website and it was quick and efficient. Much nicer than sitting for hours in a crowded travel agents. So, give First Choice a chance. There are some other airlines and tour companies that I have flown with that have been absolutely dreadful and wouldn't want to use them again. I have already booked my holiday for next year, and it is with First Choice again. I hope that I can repeat this and sing their praises again!!

Once again First Choice were excellent.  Flights left bang on time on the departure and return jouneys. Staff helpful and polite and I would strongly recommend pre-booking your seats on the plane.  It means that you can jump the queue when you get back to Kefalonia airport.  We went straight to check-in!  Well done First Choice - keep it up.  Will definitely travel with you again.

Just got back from our second time at Nine Mues.  The weather wasn't as hot as last year, but we still had days when it was too hot to sit directly in the sun.  We actually saw some rain this year, last year we didn't even see a cloud.

We had a fantastic time again this year and we will be going back!  

We did this trip last year and had such an amazing day that we couldn't wait to book it again this year.

Once again we saw the dolphins (they are such good show-offs!) and the beach BBQ on Xi beach make it all worth while.  With water volley ball, enough wine to sink the boat with, a mud bath lots of swimming, what more could you possible ask for?
