I am staying in the Violatos apartments and would like to know how long the transfer takes from the airport. I am going with Olympic Holidays. Can anyone help?

Violatos Studios - (Accommodation in Agia Efimia)

Stayed in a twin room apartment, quite spacious and relatively clean. Sheets changed three times during our stay and towels twice. Kitchen equipment was adequate for our needs, we ate out most nights. Downside would be that there are apartments on ground level with a path that people use so not much privacy on your balcony...but hey, we were in kefalonia in the sunshine...who cares!

Agia Efimia Beach - (Beaches in Kefalonia)

There are three small beaches in the village itself all within 10 mins of the harbour. They are quite uncomfortable owing to the pebbles but the sun is hotand the water clear and they are never crowded so just buy yourself a mat. It's worth hiring a bike to knab yourself a small cove which can be found all along the road towards Sami. Alternatively, hiring a boat is brilliant. For three days running we had a huge beach all to ourselves with a cave for shelter in the hot sun. Beautiful!

Finikas Restaurant - (Restaurants in Agia Efimia)

We visited here several times to have lunch during our time at the beach and found the traditional Greek food to be superb, Tzatiki, Greek Salad, Spinach Pies etc, delicious. However, we had an evening meal and we found it to be of a much lower standard. The Veal was tough even though we asked for medium rare and food was swimming in oil. Service very good though and setting great. The bar above is also a good place to continue your evening although spirits very expensive.

Agia Efimia Resort - (Resorts in Kefalonia)

Wonderful! Agia Efimia was a lovely setting, everyone really friendly. Ended up making loads of friends, Greek and English. The Paradise restaurant is great, gorgeous setting and great food. I recommend the lobster which you have to order but if you have a mobile they'll phone you to let you know if they've caught one that day! During the two weeks you'll get to know everyone and even if you've never been to Greece before you'll end up learning enough words and phrases to get you through! We hired a car and travelled the whole island but nothing was more great than returning back over the mountain and seeing the harbour, it certainly felt like home. Definitely recommend a visit here and certainly a stay in this gorgeous setting.

Drogarati Cave - (Places to Visit in Kefalonia)

Lovely! We visited here really late in the afternoon and were the only people here. The cave is spectacular and defintely worth visting. Children would really love it. The way the cave has been excavated is sympathetic and shows off the stalagtites and stalagmites brilliantly, the lighting is quite haunting but gives a great light to take photographs.

Fiskardo - (Resorts in Kefalonia)

A really pretty town, lots of shops to browse and the restaurants are nice with good menus. I didn't find it too expensive and the service was good. Only spent a day here but would defintely visit again. The journey through the mountain is slightly hairaising but an experience!
