Nikos Apartments - (Accommodation in Lassi)

6th-13th July 2008 Nikos Apartments

Nikos is at the top of the hill, but this means it is quiet and has good views. It took 8 mins to walk down to the main resort road and 10-12 mins back up, which helped settle the stomach after a large meal or lots of drink.

I thought the room was of good quality by Greek standards. Clean, double bed, small dining table and chairs, well stocked out kitchen, including a kettle (very rare), sandwich toaster, fridge freezer, cutlery etc.

Shower even had a shower tray, and the sink had a plug.

Balcony had fantastic views over the resort, although our room (no 6) shared the balcony with the room next door. Aircon was chargable at 5 euros a day

Pool was nice, plenty of sunbeds and brolleys, again with fantastic views, with sunshine all around the pool all day. No pool bar which is nice not to have any irritating music, but it was handy to have the pool bar over the road at The Oliver Garden which served a range of snacks, which took only 1minute to walk to.

Room was cleaned twice a week with sheets and towels changed once a week.

On the last day, they had a FREE courtesy room til 4pm for all people leaving that day to use for toilets or to have a shower which was a nice touch when most places would charge you 50 euros to keep the room. After this time, you could use the toilets at the Olive garden.
Overall I was very impressed and I've been to Greece for the last 12 years.
I've added some videos of the room and of the pool on youtube, hope the links work, please try to ignore the terrible commentry

I didn't stay here, i was over the road at the Nikos, but used the pool snack bar everyday.

Yes it is at the top of the hill, took approx 8 mins to walk down to the main resort road and 10-12 mins back up.
The pool is very nice with fantastic views over the resort. The pool bar was fairly quiet, no loud music. Good snack menu. A large Mythos was 2.50 euros
They do a pub quiz on wednesday nights and a BBQ on friday nights.
Very friendly couple behind the bar

sorry can't tell you about the rooms, but they look modern from the outside

Excellent bar for sitting on the balcony watching the sunset.

Not many bars can boast that as they are mainly on the other side of the road

Glass bottom boat trip - (Kefalonia Excursions)

Adrian T          8/10

I'm not normally a fan of boat trips, but i really enjoyed this one, as something always seemed to be going on. Makis is quite a character. and the rest of the crew are great as well. The boat had a well stocked bar and did snacks as well.

If you are lucky you will see dolphins which they encourage by sounding the horn and getting everyone to make a noise.
We then stopped at Rabbit island for a swim and champagne diving, they also lent out goggles and snorkels.
Then made our way to Xi beach, for the BBQ and a game of volleyball. We had the beach to ourselves. Brollies were supplied by the boat. They also had 2 sea kayaks for us to use.
The BBQ was really nice and there was plenty of it, plus wine and juice as well, and watermelon for afters.

Got picked up from the hotel at 8.30am and was back by 6pm

Lassi Resort - (Resorts in Kefalonia)

Adrian T          8/10

Relaxed resort, mainly for couples.

Plenty of restaurants and bars. I was there for 1 week and did not get round to trying them all.

Most bars were open til 2-3am, but weren't loud or rowdy

There was no or very little hassling from people outside restaurants, which i almost missed.

One recommendation is to take plenty of suncream, because the supermarkets overcharge for these, shop around if you do need to buy some as the prices varied enormously, but found the Lassi supermarket to be the cheapest, 10.50 euros for factor 8 (which was 20 euros in other supermarkets)

Beaches are very nice, all sand and clear waters.
Main road through Lassi was not overly busy, and for people staying up the hill ( i was at Nikos), it took us 8 mins to walk down to the main road and 10-12 mins back up.
