Olive Garden Apartments - (Accommodation in Lassi)

Hi,

We visited Marinos Apartments in Sept 06 which we loved but I've noticed The Olive Gardens are slightly cheaper and have more facilities.

Can anyone tell me is the steep hill going to be a pain with a 3 stone child in a pushchair? Marinos Appts were steep and we were at the top but we coped fine.

Also when the coach drops you off do they take you up the hill to the Olive Gardens or do you have to hike up with your cases?

Thanks!

What a holiday!!!

Lovely apartments, we were also at the top of the hill and we had a toddler in a pushchair and 3 large cases but we didn't let that ruin the holiday. Nice touch when we arrived Marinos came to introduce himself and explained the local supermarket - Minas, had left a welcome pack, which was much needed after the flight! Bottled water, 2 beers and 2 cans of coke! I've never received that before for free!!!

Plenty of car parking spaces for hire cars. Slight noise but only until midnight on mon, weds and fri when Zorbas restaurant do their traditional greek dancing, do not miss this! It's only a short walk away (2 mins downhill).

Also visit Veronicas bar and say "Yammas" (Cheers) to Georgio the waiter and Costas the barman. We felt so welcome there. Costas trusted us to take a bottle of wine after the supermarket had closed (1:30) and to come back and pay the next day!

We were glad we had lockable shutters so when we went out every day we left the doors wide open but the shutters locked so it was cool when we returned. This was mid sept, not high season though, we didn't need to use the aircon.

Our best holiday so far, we are about to book again for May and Marinos is at the top of our list.

Hi,

The bus to Argostoli was 1 euro from Marinos Appts, the bus stop is right outside too. The taxi was also relatively cheap and constantly available right up to approx 2am. I think it was around 4.50 euros if I remember.
We are booking to return in May 2007.
Hope this helps!

Oh, forgot to say there are cash machines in Argostoli, neasr the square is the easiest way to find them.
