IL Palazzino Restaurant - (Restaurants in Argostoli)

Michelle

Nice Italian restaurant in Argostoli's main square.  Good location to people watch.  Food and service were excellent.  Good variety of dishes on the menu.  Pizzas are large enough to share!!!!

Captains Table - (Restaurants in Argostoli)

Michelle

Went to the Captains Table by the harbour for lunch after a trip on the Glass Bottom Boat.  We ordered spaghetti napolitan and a club sandwich both were very nice.  Cannot comment on the Captains Table in the main square as didn't dine there, apart from when we walked by one evening the restaurant was very busy.

Premier Restaurant Menu - (Restaurants in Argostoli)

Michelle

Went here twice once for an ice cream - strawberry is delicious.  Then again for a slice of cake and a drink.  A large selection of cakes are on offer, but slightly pricey.  Worth it for a treat.

IL Gabbiano - (Restaurants in Lassi)

Michelle

Went here on our first night, do not remember seeing 'Elvis' nor being dragged into the restaurant??  We ordered tzatziki and cheese pies for starters - mains we ordered chicken souvlaki and chicken in cream and mushroom sauce.  All of which were ok  - chicken a litte dry, nothing out of this world.  We did not feel that it was somewhere we would go back to during the week.

Monte Nero - (Restaurants in Lassi)

Michelle

Went here due to all the reviews I had previously read.  Service is not rushed and you are given plenty of time between courses.  We ordered saganaki and tzatziki for starters and the meatballs with spaghetti and the chicken fandango for our mains, my only complaint would be that the rice was crunchy in places.

Phaedra Restaurant - (Restaurants in Lassi)

Michelle

Visited this restaurant 3 times during our stay.  Food was always excellent especially the Greek Platter, comprising of dolmas, saganaki, keftedes, tzatziki and Greek sausage.  The beef stifado and chicken souvlaki were excellent and not forgetting the baklava.   Very good service from the waiters/waitresses very friendly to everyone.   Food was brought out a little promptly but put that down to arriving slightly late in the evening.  Would say this was our favourite restaurant in Lassi!!

Note:  The English waiter looks and sounds like Chris Finch from The Office!!

Glass bottom boat trip - (Kefalonia Excursions)

Michelle

We booked this excursion through Etam Excursions in Lassi, according to the advert the trip involves a day on a glass bottom boat dolphin watching, a stop at Rabbit Island, a BBQ on Xi beach where you can if you wish cover yourself in mud, snorkell and play volley ball.  Departs Thursday from Argostoli 10am and arrives back 2pm all for 25 Euros per person.  We had a great day, saw the dolphins and turtles, stopped on Rabbit Island for an hour to snorkell, swim, sunbath etc.  Then headed back to Argostoli.  Much to our disappointment we did not receive a BBQ or bath in mud/clay.   It does not say anywhere on any advertisements not just Etam some of the other agents were the same, that this is not included until you reach the boat and realise you have booked a half day trip rather than a full day one which includes the BBQ etc.  I would definately recommend this trip but rather than book through the agents go direct to Argostoli harbour, opposite Mr Grillos of an evening and book with them instead that way you can choose a full or half day.
