Liberatos Village - (Accommodation in Lassi)

Allison A

We have just retruned from a week in Kefalonia. After doing a lot of research we chose to book Liberatos Village in Lassi.
Our 1st day was ruined. The apartment we were given was appalling, more basic than a prison cell & absolutely filthy with unsafe electrics. We did not even have a kettle & this was a self catering apartment.
The owner was aggressive & rude when challenged on this. We decided not to stay & after several hours discussing the situation with our tour rep (when we would have preferred to be exploring)we were moved to Mouikis Village at Lakithra and the standard was far superior, a lovely complex with great staff & excellent standards of cleanliness but sadly not in the resort we booked.
Despite all of this we loved Kefalonia & would return to this beautiful island but certainly not to Liberatos Village.
Apart from the many comments from young girls which makes it difficult for couples & families to assess the standards rather than the bar staff, the key point coming out of this website is that the standards are inconsistent. Some of you had a great time, whilst we refused to spend 1 night there. I am not prepared to gamble with my hard earned money & holiday time and will book very differently in future. I hope those of you returning are not put in L block & would wish you all great holidays in the future.

Mouikis Village - (Accommodation in Svoronata)

We were moved to Mouikis after a compaint about our booked accommodation.
Mouikis is a lovely complex in a stunning setting with great sea views & sunsets. The staff are friendly & helpful. The pool is great & the pool bar is good value for food & drinks with a fairly wide choice.
The only negative is that the apartment is too far from Lassi & Argostoli (where we originally booked) but the courtesy bus is a good service. The village of Lakithra was mostly closed up in October but the Bryon restaurant was superb.
