Maria Anna Hotel - (Accommodation in Lourdas)

You get what you pay for! This is not a luxury hotel and doesn’t promote itself as such. It should be judged on that basis.
The Maria Anna and the staff provided every thing we expected and more. Lana is a helpful and enthusiastic Manager.
Can’t comment on what has gone on before but there was absolutely no problems at the hotel when we visited Sept 2004.
The poolside bar was great, food pretty good, plenty of drink to choose from.
The view from the room was superb. The room was reasonably clean - well the maid scared us a bit!
The bar got a little noisy some nights but overall was relatively quiet considering people were on holiday and out to enjoy themselves (which we certainly did).
There are plenty of good restaurants in the area, and also four supermarkets that were very handy. We liked the Le Mar best for the quality of the food although the service was better in some of the other Tavernas
A couple of tips:- Mind your step! Several people went a*se over tip, tripping on badly maintained roads or on the walks down tracks to the beaches. Also BIG tip - the water closets in the rooms 'trickle' which you can hear during the quiet of night, which can be annoying - the trick is to turn off the water to the cistern by turning the tap on the feeder pipe. (Just don’t forget to turn it back on again in the morning!)
We would recommend this as a cheap holiday destination.
