Probably one of the best holidays we've had!  The hill up to the apartments is a challenge but if you avoid the hottest times it's no problem.  Very large apartments nicely furnished and the place is kept very clean.  Pool looked very nice and was cleaned each night and didn't seem busy although we did not use it.  The owner Napolean was very friendly and happy to help.  Skala was all very pleasant and every meal was a good one.  Beach great although sea had not warmed up much when we were there (mid June)!  Great resort to chill out, would not be for those wanting a wild night life!  Highly recommended.

Lara Hotel - (Accommodation in Lourdas)

Just had a great week here.  Hotel was clean and room fine.  Breakfast was ok too.  Would not have wanted to spend time around the pool as it was rather compact but with a great beach 5 mins away (10 mins back up!) why would you?  Agree with comments that staff were not over friendly but they were always pleasant when you wanted anything so fine in my book.  Great mini market couple of minutes away and great places to eat up the hill.  Not for those who cannot cope with walking as the hill is steep but for those with average fitness its fine.  Air con reasonable at 5 euros per night and worth it for a good nights sleep.

Klimatis Restaurant - (Restaurants in Lourdas)

Only ate here at lunch time but once we found this it was definately the best place to eat on the sea front.  Staff pleasant and food always good.  Busy with both tourists and locals.

Spiros Restaurant - (Restaurants in Lourdas)

Great place to eat and always busy which gave a nice atmosphere and shows its good.  Staff were great and feels like a traditional greek taverna.  Ate here 5 times in a week as it was so good.  Spiros the owner is very "hands on" and makes sure everything is fine and you are made to feel welcome.  Reasonable prices.  Highly recommended.

Agree you cannot fault the food, it was excellent.  Service was fine but slightly impersonal.

Marinos Apartments - (Accommodation in Lassi)

Clean and comfortable apartments.  We were in the apartment at the top of the small complex on the 1st floor and had a great view.  Apartments cleaned daily apart from one day when the bins were still emptied and the grounds kept very nicely.  Owner very friendly and helpful.  Air con reasonable at 30 Euros a week.  5 mins walk to the beach and Princess Hotel Pool next door very pleasant and served good bar meals.  Plenty of tavernas, bars and supermarkets within easy reach.

Highly recommended apartments.

Notos Studios - (Accommodation in Katelios)

Stayed here at the end of June start of July 2009.  We had two rooms on the first floor with a balcony giving a side view of the sea and the mountains in the other direction, rooms on the ground floor would not have enjoyed such good views so worth requesting first floor.  Rooms comprised of a typical greek bathroom with handheld shower, sink and WC but perfectly adequate.  Bedroom was large with a double and single bed, table and chairs, and small "kitchen" area which was a sink, fridge and two electric hobs.  There was also an electric kettle and toaster.  Enough to do breakfast or a simple meal.  With numerous tavernas on your doorstep however why would you want to eat in?  There was also a hair dryer and iron.  Air con was the quietest I have ever experienced and was €40 per week and the safe €10.  The rooms were very clean on arrival and towels and sheets were changed once during the week.  My only criticism was the bins were only emptied every other day which being self catering and with the toilet roll disposal was not really acceptable.  Only met the owner Kostas on arrival but seemed very nice and showed us how everything worked etc and felt confident id there was a problem he would have resolved it.  Would definately recomend Notos from our experience.  Katelios was very quiet and more traditional than a lot of resorts.  Very friendly.  Plenty of tavernas with a lot serving fresh fish.  A few mini markets, a bakery, car hire and travel agents.  Beach is one minute from the Notos but not that brilliant there, better further along (5-10 mins) although not the best beach.  Lovely views though and not at all crowded.  Two sun beds and an umbrella at €6 a day.  Sea shelves gently and only a few stones as you first go in.  Beach is sand and stones.  Great bar called Dreams just behind with the cleanest toilets you will find in Greece, good food and drink and good hospitality.  All in all a great holiday and will definately return.  A new harbour is being built at the moment but this did not disturb us.
