| (MAKIS ONE)very clean, but cleaners only come on a wednesday and a saturday about 9:00am (greek time)But dont leave your room on a wednesday before 9:00am(greek time) because they need you to be there to open the door to your apartment.Noise: everyday a greek man goes passed early in the morning and about 6:00pm(greek Time)at night with his goats and their a bit noisey coz some of them have bells on them and the man always shouts at them but as i like to call them the SPY SHEEP!and theirs a dog that barks all night!! LOCATION:good but makis has no pool but their is a hotel that is about a five min walk from makis one the hotel is called the "Marina-anna" it has a pool bar as well were you can get drinks and snacks!there is a beach a 25 min walk away from makis one the beach is called trapezaki beach which is more than likely the best beach in kefalonia!if u want t o go exploring hire a car from a palce that is near the mini market called bob & mo`s mini market its the best deal ENJOY YOUR STAY IN KEFALONIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | Makis was exactly what we wanted - clean, neat, modern (even had a hairdryer). The owners were friendly without being over the top - left you in peace and the location was suberb. Trapezaki is a lovely location if you require little tourism with a quiet atmosphere. Only 3 local tavernas, 15 minute walk to the beach (25 minutes back in the heat - all uphill), The Olive Branch was our favorite Taverna but Crystal Palace came a close second. The beach is quiet, sandy with only a few sun beds which suited us. | ||||||||||
