Nine Muses Hotel

Everything good you've read about this hotel is absolutely true.  Apart from the beautiful surroundings and the excellent food and drink, the most memorable feature of 9 Muses is the lovely, friendly, and attentive staff - Tachis, Dennis, Nikos, and the lovely blond lady in the restaurant - Manolis with his wonderful cocktails - and the cleaners with their fascinating models folded out of the clean towels. 

We just got back from Nine muses and what an immaculate hotel and setting. We were in an apartment at the rear facing the mountains, but to your right you could see the sea! in a village like setting within its own complex, with a small chapel which luckily had a wedding one day, which was lovely.

Skala is a pretty place, beach straight over the road, a five minute walk to centre with plenty of bars and places to eat, The pines was gorgeous food! we tried somewhere different every night, everyone so friendly, majority of tourists are english which was really nice, met alot of nice couples.

Just back from our second vist, same staff as last year and all still very friendly, without doubt the best hotel in Scala.

we are of to the 9 muses again in june-our 4th visit in a row-we booked on the evening of our return last year-it is absolutely perfect for us-the rooms,gardens,bar -but perhaps the biggest asset- the staff -are superb-as someone who has owned  a hotel for 10 years i think i can speak from experience!!it is quiet and adjacent to the beach-it is also a short walk to the town-so if you want quality,cleanliness and excellent service look no further maggie and trevor cooke

This hotel is amazing, i loved every minute of my stay, if i had more money i would of easily stayed longer!!the staff where so nice and friendly, everything about the island was fantastic.Defo for going back again for up and coming years to same hotel!!!  

First time to Kefalonia, Skala after fifteen years visiting KOS....we could not have choosen a more perfect location for a week chilling out. The Complex was wonderful, up at 0900hrs every morning for a dip on our own in the excellant pool, friendly staff, air con. rooms, TV for the UK News if you were interested ! !   Picture is from the pool area looking towards the beautiful appartments.

The Nine Muses is a fantastic hotel.  We visited in July 2006 after reading rave reviews about the place - we even got a cheap deal with First Choice so it was well worth the cost.  We would pay full price to go back now we've been.  The rooms were lovely with power showers and gorgeous little balconies - they even had airconditioning which in Greece is very rare.  The bar area was great and the guys behind the bar did the BEST cocktails. We never found getting a sunbed a problem and just had an amazing time.

This hotel is wonderful.  We had a taxi to the hotel due to the long transfer by coach. We have never had a taxi transfer before and wondered how we would be greeted on arrival at the hotel.  This view is based on previous arrivals in Spain and the Canary's where they barely acknowledge you on arrival.  However Parwane greeted us and she was lovely.  She cheked us in no problem and showed us to our room.  Everyone at this hotel is amazingly friendly.  It is spotlessly clean everywhere, even the loos by the pool.  The pool bar is ace, not massive menu but just enough, clean, tidy, great service and always a friendly smile.  We enjoyed the Chef Salad, but 1 between 2 as they were rather large.  Nine Muses was recommended to us by a friend and she really raved about it and we did think we would find something wrong with it as we are real Victor Meldrews! Probably because our last few hols have been to the Canarys for some winter sun.  Nobody appears to be friendly there.  But, no, we couldn't fault Nine Muses - its ace !

  My wife and I have just returned from two weeks at 'Nine Muses' and found it to be quite the nicest place we have stayed in. Close proximity to the beach. Large, airy room with kitchenette and wonderful shower room. Friendly and helpful staff. Air conditioning. Very nice bar overlooking the pool. This was our sixth visit to Skala and we couldn't have chosen a better hotel. The gardens are beautiful, the architecture appealing and the whole complex spotlessly clean.

SOME OF THE BEST GARDENS I HAVE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE TO SEE, LOTS OF CARE AND THOUGHT HAS GONE INTO THIS. MANY THANKS TO THE SOULS WITH SORE BACKS, AND GRUBBY FINGERS. VERY NICE PLACE, GREAT PLACE TO STAY.

Just got back from our second time at Nine Mues.  The weather wasn't as hot as last year, but we still had days when it was too hot to sit directly in the sun.  We actually saw some rain this year, last year we didn't even see a cloud.

We had a fantastic time again this year and we will be going back!  

Hi Wendy Yes, there are a couple of cash machines in Scala.

Could someone let me know if Skala has any cash machines in the resort? Thanks.

We went back to the Nine Muses this year after visiting their last year.  Again the hotel was excellent.  The rooms are of a very good quality and kept very clean and the bathrooms are lovely.  We had a lovely view from our room of the sea and mountains so excellent for sitting on the balcony in the morning and evening.  The weather ruined it for us this year as the first week was cold and windy but it improved the 2nd week!

we are going to the nine muses next august (2005) really looking forward to it after the comments on this page, we have a daughter who will be 14 when we come, she would like to know if anyone else is around her age going at this time, cant wait to go!!!

We had a really great holiday,2 weeks of the wonderful weather. The staff at the Nine Muses are very friendly. Plenty of eating places within walking distance. Some very good trips available too. Will go back to the Nine Muses.We went the 14th September.
