| My wife and I have been going to Kefalonia for the last 20 years for the last 7 we have stayed at the Med. It is dated and as someone once said looks like a 1960's secondary modern school. But if anywhere else can match the welcome when you return (welcome back Mr& Mrs Jennings) I doubt very much. The staff are always the same although George at the pool has gone fishing! The views fantastic the food good what else could anyone want, maybe we might just spend our retirement there thats how much the island means to us, Friendly people and a life out of the fast lane thank you all for the the last 20 years Roger and Val. | |

| A Superb Hotel,friendly staff,very clean and great food.
Super views and a delightful clean beach with crystal clear waters.What more can you want?
There were 10 of us staying in this hotel as a base for my Daughters Wedding in Argostoli and we were all treated very well.
I would highly recommend this Hotel as a good base to get around the Island and i loved the idea of a lift going straight down to the beach.
5 Euros for a Taxi into Argostoli which were waiting just outside the Hotel to take you to the Town.
In all a great time was had by all.
Kefalonia is a very pretty Island and we cant wait to return in the future.

I have stayed at this hotel 10 times since the age of 11. At 24 now, I cannot wait to return. The location is fabulous, the staff genuine and the food exceptional. The hotel is quiet and the ideal place to relax and feel speical.
If you visit, be sure to hire a car and travel the island; it really is breathtaking.
Enjoy!! | ||||||||||

This isn't a 4 star hotel, as some might suggest, but it's a perfectly respectable 3 star. It's clean, has friendly staff, the plumbing works, and the public areas are well presented. We found the beds extremely uncomfortable, however (not much give in them).
Don't get too excited about the food. We were there on half board, but ate out quite a few nights. The buffet style meals are reasonably presented, served at appropriate temperatures, and nothing runs out, but the quality is basically canteen standard, rather than what I would call "restaurant" quality.
Location by beach is excellent, and taxis can usually be found outside front door if you want to go off elsewhere.

| Does anyone know if this hotel has been modernised again since 2003.. it has really good reviews but the fact it may be dated has made me doubt whether I should book to go. I'm trying to decide between this hotel and Porto Scala Village in Scala. What do people think ? We just want to be near the beach and have nice food and clean and tidy accommodation and we don't want it to be noisy! | ||||||||||

| i have just returned from a fantastic honeymoon in Keflonia, i would recommend the Mediteranne Hotel! - the beach is so near it is great, if you have any questions about Kefalonia or the Mediteranne Hotel don't hesitate to email me! - by the way don't hire a car from the holiday reps - shop around!, but do hire a car! | ||||||||||
