Stayed at Marietta Studios, September 2008, my husband and myself. There was a heat wave, with temperatures of 35 - 40 degrees.
Marietta Studios are in a good location, only a short walk from the town of Skala and the beach.
We had a large 3 bed studio with a view of surrounding hills. Not all the studios have air conditioning, but we were fortunate to have this. However, it was expensive, but due to the heatwave, necessary.
Self-catering facilities were very basic - two ring 'cooker', fridge, crockery, cutlery and two saucepans. No kettle or toaster. Has to boil water in saucepan to make hot drinks.
Safe deposit boxes are available, but are not in the rooms. They are in reception which is only open from 08.00 - 13.00 & 16.00 - 22.00
Stayed sunday - sunday. We were told at welcome meeting that bed linen and towels would be changed twice weekly (a charge would be made if you wanted them changing more frequently) - in fact, it was only changed once.
Accomodation varies greatly - some rooms very small and do not have air conditioning.
