We stayed at the panorama studios for 1 week from 09/6/2007
After a super week in Fanari we hired a car and moved south to Poros on 16/6/07.We had booked a week at the Oceanis hotel direct on the internet. We arrived with a certain amount of trepidation and were shown to our room.Wow ! The room was fresh and new and the view from the balcony was outstanding. Poros itself is a lovely underdeveloped resort with no British tour operators, so there is plenty of space on the beach.British tour operators used to come here, but the locals would not accept the low rates Airtours etc. were offering. The sea is crystal clear , ideal for snorkeling. We ate at several restaurants and enjoyed the food at all of them. The Sunset restaurant just below the hotel is a superb setting to enjoy a meal and the views are spectacular.
We have visited lassi/Fanari/Lakthra/Svoranata areas in all for 7 holidays .
We have allways spent time at the Aquarius bar. The atmosphere has allways been excellent, as long as you sit away from the tv screens, the staff are very friendly and glad to see old customers come back.
I have holidayed in Katelios twice. On both occasions we spent many happy evenings at Persas. The food is really excellent, the service first class and friendly, the setting and the ambience are beatifull. This year we stayed in Poros for a week, and twice drove to Katelios to enjoy all i have previously mentioned. If you want a genuine Greek eating experience this is the place to go.
We stayed at the Oceanis for 1 week from 16/6 to 23/6.-, having booked direct.
The room was clean , spacious and new.The view from the balcony was simply magnificent.
The breakfasts are reasonable, the staff allways fiendly. The stroll down the hill was allways a pleasure, dont walk back , take a taxi !.
We will go back to Kefalonia and when we do we will book here again
