Olive Garden Apartments - (Accommodation in Lassi)

We had a great stay at these apartments during July.  The views are breathtaking and the bar and terrace are first class.  A lot of reviews mention the steep hill, we found it ok to walk up at night, but would not recommend it during the heat of the day.  We had one of the two bedroom apartments with the spiral staircase.  The apartment was spacious but would benefit greatly from a sofa and some balcony furniture.  It was a nuisance having to move the main table in and out of the living room for alfresco breakfasts.  All the staff were very cheery, Nick does really good food and the apartments were swept daily, mopped every 4 days and sheets/towels changed about every three days.
The beach at Lassi is excellent with crystal claer water, good beach bars and watersports.  Lassi itself isn't that inspiring, but there are some good restaurants and cocktail bars.  Ozzi's at the top end of the strip does a very reasonable Friday night barbeque.  Teenagers will find it a bit on the quiet side, although my two didn't complain too much.  Argostoli is worth visiting at night for a wider choice of eating and drinking places.  Car hire is a must to see the sights on this lovely island.  As usual, the local prices for coach and boat excursions are much cheaper than those touted by the Reps.
