Villa Angelos - (Accommodation in Lassi)

Peter & lilu

The apartment was near to airport so we didnt have to travel too far. It was nice and quiet bar one night when a few other holiday makers were being very loud
I would recommend getting air conditioning which is 6 euros a night and strongly recommend getting a car. Lassi is very touristy and after a night or two there isn't really much else to do. There's so much more to discover on the island so best to get out there and explore.

Gradakia Beach - (Beaches in Kefalonia)

Peter & lilu

This was quieter than the other beaches in Lassi - nice if you want to get away from the crowds.

Makris Gialos Beach - (Beaches in Kefalonia)

Peter & lilu

First thing we noticed was how busy it was and how some little beach bar was blasting cheesy music out, ruining the effect. It really spolit it for us. Yes the sea was nice and clean but it like this almost all over Kefallonia and you don't have to put up with the noise.

Archeological Museum (closed) - (Places to Visit in Kefalonia)

Peter & lilu

Yes it was all very interesting seeing clay puts and stuff and I like mueums generally but I think I could have spent my time and money better. its not much - 3 euros each but I wouldn't go out of your way to visit.

Assos - (Resorts in Kefalonia)

Peter & lilu

Assos was lovely. DO NOT DRIVE to the top to see the castle. It's lazy and silly. You miss out all the lovely views on the way to the top. Its a long work but well worth it for the views a long the way. Unfortunately when you reach the top the castle isnt all that. But we did not regret it as it was a lovely walk. You need to be relatively fit though.

Fiskardo - (Resorts in Kefalonia)

Peter & lilu

Pretty little place. Attracts a lot of 'well to do' if you know what I mean. It isn't really that much more expensive. In fact we saw some items such as sarongs which were so much cheaper here. The food was also better quality. We actually had our most expensive AND worst meal in Lassi! Even if you only go a starters, which is what we did - dine here and watch the boats out in the sea. It's a nice atmosphere.

Melissani Lake - (Places to Visit in Kefalonia)

Peter & lilu

A lovely place. The only downside is that it's a short little ride and you just want to stay there looking at the scenery around you. The staff were friendly too. The man rowing the boat was nice, he was telling us about the lake, how deep it was and took photos for us. If you can only do the lake or the cave - do the lake!

Retseto - (Restaurants in Lassi)

Peter & lilu

Yes the views were ok but the it is spolit by the concrete hotel infront of it. The waiters/waitress were very friendly and service was good BUT the food was very mediocre at best. Perhaps it was because everyone around us was eating burgers/pizza and chips and the cook had forgotten how to cook a proper greek meal. Or maybe it was because we had fantastic meals everywhere else that this place just didnt live up to standards elsewhere. The moussaka was too eggy and no potato in it. It was edible - just about but I swear I've tasted Asda ready meals that are better that this! If you're looking for some quick grub, its the place to go but don't expect much.

Mermaid Taverna - (Restaurants in Sami)

One of the best meals we had. My partner had the Briam and I had stuffed aubergine. The aubergine salad was lovely to as was the house wine.
