Paradise Beach Restaurant - (Restaurants in Agia Efimia)

Situated at the end of a no through road, and overlooking Paradise Beach, this Taverna offers all that the name promises. Although patronised by holiday makers it is well used by local people, as good a recomendation as you can get. The food, although simple, is of excellent quality. Such mouth watering dishes as Octopus stewed in red wine, local stewed wild rabbit and Beef Stifado sit alongside the local stalwarts of Mousaka and Tzatziki. Paradise also has a reputation for fresh seafood. The colourful Taverna owner, Stavros Dendrinos, being proud of using only the freshest ingredients. For desert I can do no better than to recomend the home made Baclava, unless it is the "world famous" Chocolate Souflee. Your meal can be accompanied by the excellent house wine (this is Kefalonia! the home of great Greek wine) or a bottle from their excellent selection. So, you ask, how much will this taste of paradise set me back? The cost from last year was around 1200Drx for a starter and 2500Drx for a main course. Wine comes in at 1000Drx for half a litre of house white. The chocolate souflee, which serves two, cost 2000Drx. So looking at a meal for two I would estimate about 11000Drx or 22.00
