Lefteris Village - (Accommodation in Lassi)

Mat H

If you want somewhere a little out of the way then this is the place. Lefterie is situated on top of the hills between Lassi and Argostoli. It is a fair walk up hill from Lassi, about 1km I guess, but well worth it. The view across the bay at Argostoli and to the hills beyond was breath taking. If you don't fancy the walk its very quick & cheap by cab. Good size pool again is very good views and hidden from the nearby road and footpath so very private.

Assos - (Resorts in Kefalonia)

My favourite spot on the whole island. Lovely walk up to the ruined Castle from the village (take some water!!). Somebody else mentioned the public toilets and they are a bit grim but don't let that put you off.

Fiskardo - (Resorts in Kefalonia)

Nice place to visit and have lunch in the harbour. I preferred Assos but wife preferred Fiskado so my advice is go to both!

Lassi Resort - (Resorts in Kefalonia)

Lassi is fine as a base or if you have a young family. Not very Greek and spread across the main raod as it is, you need to have your wits about you after a couple of glasses in the local cafes. We stayed a short walk outside Lassi which meant we had the perfect combination of peace and quiet and easy access to the cafes and bars etc. Argostoli also has a wide range of cafes and bars if you fancy a change.

Argostoli - (Resorts in Kefalonia)

best seen at night especially the main square which comes to life after 9.30. Good places to eat and to suit all pockets. Probably wouldn't actually stay there but well worth the visit.

June - (Best Time to Visit)

Mat H

We went for the first two weeks in June and weather was warm, about 30 on a good day, but with light sea breezes was very comfortable.

La Gondola Menu - (Restaurants in Argostoli)

Good food in the great setting of the main square in Argostoli.
