Just got back from Skala (July 22nd) after 2 weeks there i will never go back to Spain again. It was peak season yet still quiet, weather was in the 100's and i got burned once when on a lilo in the sea (very deceiving) would go earlier next time in the hope of more breeze! Not a cloud in the sky for whole holiday not a drop of rain. Bliss.

Airtours as a whole were great however...our luggage never turned up at Kefallonia Airport so we had to set off to our accomodation without it. 3days later it turned up but we had to buy new clothes to get us through. Then our cases had to be 15kg each (about weight of 1 towel and 1 bikini!)so after being borderline leaving manchester (had to empty half of our cases and leave in manchester) we knew we would be over with our extra clothes purchased. When I told the Airtours rep we would have to pay £4 for every 1kg over (nearly cost us £40 at M/cr airport to bring our cases just over limit) she said "oh yeah thats a shame for you isn't it" no offer to subsidise the cost as it was their fault our cases never turned up. They however blamed Manchester Airport and said they loose cases all the time! Check your luggage amounts is my advise, we presumed (foolishly) it would be 20kg per case as usual, in small print on the back of our tickets it told us otheriwse!
