HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE SAN LORENZO VILLAGE TO ANYONE WHO IS THINKING OF GOING

the beaches are not more than a five minute walk from the bottom of the hill. They are among the best i have ever seen and i have travelled.Deep blue /green sea as clear as a bell chilled music from the beach bars wafting out to sea while you float in that beautifull sea nice quiet bars to chill out in the evening.the capital argostolli is a short drive away or get a taxi its cheap enough and just sit in the square with a cool drink and your family and enjoy every minute.thats why we are retuning i cant bloody wait!!!!

This hill im not sure about but we had one that was quite steep but after two days you get used to it our t/a said this one is about 160 steps up

We have stayed at the San Lorenzo for the last 3 years.  We have never found any apartments that measure up to these.  The staff are friendly, the apartments are spotless, the Pool area is very spacious and the views spectacular.  Would recommend it to anyone - back this year 28th May 2006 - can't wait

Can anyone confirm how far up the hill the San Lorenzo Village is and is the hill very steep?

This was our second time to Kefalonia and also our second stay in the San Lorenzo aprtements. The San Lorenzo apartements are situated at the top of a hill which gives you stunning views out to sea and to lixouri along with the beautifully kept gardens this makes it feel like paradise. We stayed in studios and while some are smaller than others they have everything you need including hair dryers, toasters, kettles and good bathroom facilities. The outside space is also very nice, we were downstairs which meant we got sunlngers, i dont think studios upstairs have this. All rooms ar air conditioned which is an very much needed during the night and in the day. The pool area is very nice and very quiet, the atmosphere is one of opeace and quiet. A couple of times during a stay we could hear extremely lid music coming from other apartments further up the hill, this happened only twice but  was extremely annoying and disruptive. The bar staff are excellent and provide excellent service. The food is also very nice. The town of lassi is situated along one main road so it can take a while 2 reach ther other end. Lassi is very nice and has some great bars but for a better taste of Greece it is best to head toArgostolli, the capital. You can walk there but it would take over an hour if you aret used 2 long walks, otherwise just get the guirls at the bar to order you a taxi for 5 euros. Argostolli is full of locals and has soem great shops, bars and restaurants, however uit is slightly more expensive than Lassi. WE went on no trips this year but we did get the ferri to lixouri, this is worth while as the ferri ride over is great and very scenic and Lixouri itslef is a smaller version of argostolli and is very nice. We had a very enjoyable holiday and would definitly recommend it to familes with smaller children as there ar no facilities for kids. We had to stay for 3 extra days as one of us couldnt fly and the owners were very nice and allowed us to stay for an extra two nights and then allowed us to stay in their apartments down the road. We did however experience great difficulty with our insurance company and they did nothing to help us in getting alternative accomadation or flights. I would advise people going to take extra money for doctors fees as he is expensive but well worth it.

San Lorenzo is a beautiful resort!The apartments are very clean and very comfortable.The pool area is also lovely.With a kids pool and big pool,Bar and pool table this is a great way to spend your holiday.With the reastraunts & bars only a 5 minute walk from the apartments its ideal.The stunning beaches of Kefalonia are also a 5 minute walk.The capital of the island,Argostoli,Is a an hours walk and 5 minutes in a taxi.Argostoli is a mixture of unique shops,bars and reastraunts.

We have just come back from our holiday on Thursday, it was our 4th time in Kefallinia and our 3rd time at the San Lorenzo, and i have to say they are the best apartments in Kefallinia had a great time. we have booked again for next year.

we have just spent 2 weeks at these apartments and quite frankly they were the dogs whats it names. little extras like water in the fridge, washing up liquid and the daily changing of towels and bed linen made for an excellent stay. sunbeds around the pool area were always available although we preferred the beach ( long beach ) and its little beach bars.

 Returned from San Lorenzo 2nd June. Fantastic weather, superb accomodation, staff brilliant, resort quiet, perfect for us, but my 17 yr old found plenty of nightlife to keep him amused, but we never heard a thing, great!!  Would recommend this resort and accommodation to anyone, clean beaches, food great, I could go on forever..... (We travelled with 'Thomson' and the rep was great, everything 1st class, would def book with the same tour operator again!)

have been to san lorenzo 4 times and are going for 3 weeks in july.It is outstanding very clean,curtious staff especially Thomas the bar man,it is on a hill so after a night out its a bit of a climb to get to but as soon as you reach the top theres the bar!after staying at blue horizon in svoronata for 2 years san lorenzo is much more peacefull.If u go in the hottest months there is no aircon but ceiling fans and a secure locking money box is provided in the rooms so you dont get charged on top for this.The bar has a large tv with english movies and a pool table.it is ideal if you like to retreat at night as you cant hear any music and being only available with tomas cook and airtours it keeps out the noisy lager louts.I would recomend lassi to couples and familys who enjoy a quiet holiday but with the added bonus of being plenty of bars to enjoy if you want to.

I didn't want to come home...it's been a week and a day at home :(

EXCELLENT ACCOMODATION, STAYED 2 YEARS RUNNING, SLIGHT HILL TO CLIMB BUT WELL WORTH IT, PLENTY OF POOL BEDS AND ONLY 5 MINS TO BEACH. CEILING FANS FRIDGE AND ALL ROOMS WITH POOL / SEA VIEWS. HAD BRILLIANT HOLIDAY AND REALLY ENJOYED LASSI P.S. YANNIS,S DONUTS BEST ON THE BEACH.

Returned to the UK on the 2nd September 2004 after 2 weeks. The apts are cleaned daily with clean linen and towels every day. The location is also ideal as it is situated on a hill which gives great views of the pool, gardens and sea. (The hill is on an incline for about 60 mtrs, but don't let this put you off).
Rooms have cooker, fridge, hair-dryer, microwave, ceiling fan and safe deposit boxes.
Having looked at other accomodation in Lassi, this is by far the best in the area (the Mediteranne Hotel looks like a hospital and has a dirty beach, and the White Rocks is built like a prison complex).
Staff are very friendly and the bar area is good for afternoon snacks and drinks (try the milk shakes). Bar is open till 02.00am.
Best ever Greek holiday and recommend it to anyone going to Lassi.

I have just returnd from the san lorenzo apartments and they were possibly the nicest apartments my family and i have ever stayed in. The apartments are spacious and all have a sea and pool views which are both stunning. The bar is fantastic and offers plenty of snacks and drinks but NO CHIPS!! The staff are also very friendly. PErhaps the only downside is that the apartments are situated at the top of a steep hill which can be hard to climb in the intense heat. It is a very queit place and is not situated in the middle of all the bars and restaurants but a good 5 - 10min walk. IT is a short taxi ride from the capital but a long walk. There is a good selection of bars and restaurants, i recommend the chinese and zorbas as they do a great greek night. but there is not much going on so it is better to go to th capital. We are hopefully returning next year as we enjoyed it so much.

We have just spent 2 weeks at these wonderful apartments and would recommend them. The apartments are cleaned daily and the towels are changed every day. The pool area is clean and there are plenty of sun beds, pool bar is excellent and the grounds are well kept. There are plenty of tarvenas and bars which offer a wide range of food.
The beaches around Lassi are clean with really clear water. Sun beds and umbrellas are around 8 euros per day. We will certainly return.

We have just returned from staying at San Lorenzo and they are lovely,clean and well equipped. They have a ceiling fan. The nearest taverna is about 50m away (Zorba's) and the rest of the taverna's are about another 100m away. The site has a good bar and also serve snacks.

We have just returned from a week at San Lorenzo Apts. They are very clean, have a fridge and a ceiling fan. The apartments are about 50 yards from the first Taverna (Zorbas) and about 200 yards from a good variety of other bars and Taverna's.there is also a good bar and snack bar at the complex.

Does the San Lorenzo have a fridge in the apt also do they have a ceiling fan or fans you can hire?.

I have booked a week at these apartments in May. Can anybody advise how busy the resort is at that time of year? Also, how near are the apartments to the bars, tavernas etc.?

My wife and I stayed for 2 weeks at the end of October 2003. The apartments were excellently equipped and kept very clean and tidy. In fact they were cleaned and clean towels provided every day. I don't think I would like to be in the resort in high season as I understand that it gets very busy. In October it was fine. The Long Beach was terrific, the sea warm and clear and the Oasis beach bar pretty good. The tavernas catered for all tastes. We preferred the quieter, more traditional ones such as Nefeli, Sitaki and Olive Press. Good Greek food at reasonable prices. 2 courses plus 1 litre of house wine about #25.

These are fantastic apartments and are full of friendly people. It seemed like most of the people staying at the apartments knew each other from previous years, which was pleasant and reassuring. The milkshakes at the bar are fantastic.

WE HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM A ONE WEEK HOLIDAY STOPPING AT THE SAN LORENZO APARTMENTS IN LASSI. THE LOCATION OF THE HOLIDAY WAS SUPERB AND THE CLEANLINESS OF THE APARTMENTS WAS EXCELLENT. WE EVEN HAD THE EXTRA TREAT OF AN EARTHQUAKE, BUT EVEN THAT COULD NOT SPOIL THE WEEK WE HAD. THE STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY, THE POOL AREA WAS FANTASTIC. WE ALL HAD A GREAT HOLIDAY AND THINKING OF RETURNING NEXT YEAR.

my girlfriend and i stayed here for 2 weeks, and were thoroughly impressed. the room was spacious and extremely clean. (it also had a fan, to answer an earlier question) the pool was large and there were plenty of sun beds. the snack bar provided tasty food (burgers, chips, salads, toasties, beer, spirits, water, crisps, yummy milkshakes etc etc).
staff were very friendly and also provided a currency exchange for traveller's cheques.
the apartments are about 50m up a slight hill, off the main road. it is very quiet but allows easy access to the beach, supermarkets and restaurants.
we would thoroughly recommend it, and hope to return one year. 100% !!

Just got back from two glorious weeks staying at this fantastic, friendly, family run village appartments. We got married the second week with our two children aged 3 & 4 acting as bridesmaids - the staff made the day extra special with a complementary bottle of Champagne and flowers and just couldn't do enough. The small hill really isn't that bad and if you want to be really lazy the staff will take shopping orders for 9:30am the next day delivery. The cleaners are exceptional. The gardens are very well kept. The childrens playground is a little primative but the children loved it. Small pool for the children to play safely. Will definately return!!
JMC did us a big favour by moving us at the last minute from Metaxatus. Oh and while we were there they received an award for JMCs best accomadation in the whole of Greece 2002 - thoroughly deserved.

My husband, myself and our daughter(aged 5) stayed at these apartments in May 2001 - it was absolutely wonderful. The studios were spotless and in such a lovely area, the views are great. We enjoyed our stay so much we are going again late May this year (2003) - we can't wait!!!!!!

My wife and I are making our first trip to the island next August, we will be taking our 2 daughters,aged 2 & 4 any comments greatly appreciated.

we loved it here, we only stayed for a week and wished it was longer. The studio was fairly small but had everything we needed, and the terrace rather than a balcony was great. The views are superb.The pool is big with lots of sunbeds. Didn't use the bar as we liked the village. Very quiet and we will go back again.

We stayed here with JMC and enjoyed every moment. The apartments are of a high standard, more like hotel rooms with all the little extras including a kitchinette. The girl cleaned every day, changing towels etc. The setting on top of hill, a short walk from the beach was superb. Not suitable for the elderly though. The bar was simple but stayed open until late and they tried with daily films etc. We would certainly go again.

wonderful,tranquil location.lovely views across bay to lixouri and returning again this year. Very friendly.
