Just returned home from an absolutely brilliant week, both
myself and a couple of friends thought the studios were ideal,
beautiful view of the sea, and once the swimming pool area is
complete, it will be even better.
There are a few restaurants to choose from, and a couple of
lively bars, ASTRA being one, which was fantastic, especially the
bar manager, Mikey, great guy. There are also two mini markets,
which stock a variety of things. I would also suggest hiring a car,
go and see Martin at CBR, he will suggest a few sights, but also
ask Mikey as he is a local and can tell you all the best tourist
spots to visit. Driving around is easy enough, just be carefully of
the pot holes, and the mountain goats. The capitol is only 20
minutes away, Friskado which has a beautiful Port is
approximately 2 hours. Would love to go back, a week was not
long enough, did not want to leave, back to reality!

Have just returned from a week at Antonia Apartments and am a bit surprised to read previous vistor's comments re building work. Noise was minimal and work did not take place at any time when you were likely to be in rooms. They are building a new swimming pool and bar and is almost complete-but suspect it won't be ready till next year but it looks good. Big rooms and huge balconies overlooking Zante and in the sun for most of the day. Our only complaint was that the room only got cleaned once in the week we were there, and the toilet bin was only emptied twice-and only because we asked for it to be.
The photo in the brochure is correct-but it probably looks better from the other side of the building.
Well what can i say - Kephalonia is beautiful, interesting, relaxing and the food, weather and people were great. I checked this website regarding the apartment before we went, so imagine my horror when we arrived to find a building site underneath our balcony and the joy of workmen with circular saws and incessant hammering from 8am. Interestingly this work was not mentioned on the libra holidays website either and in fact the picture of the apartment listed as Antonia was in fact a different place altogether. Naturally the rep blamed the owner of the building, and claimed they had been working all winter to finish the building work. However next door's hotel owner said they didnt start till May 15th each year!! But all things aside, if you dont mind not being able to eat or sit peacefully on your balcony, then it is still a lovely place to holiday.... but beware...
Lovely new apartment block, only opened in June. Large room with twin beds - fridge - hotplate etc. Large bathroom Soft Towels Soft White Sheet Fantastic large balcony in the sun all day and facing the sea. In Lourdas Top Village.
