My husband and I have been coming to Skala for years and so are always keen to try out any new restaurants that open in the village. We were certainly impressed with The White Horse, which we found in the little back street square near the old police station. We ate there twice during our holiday, and both meals were excellent. The first time we had the "Meze for 2", which was fantastic. There were sausages, meatballs, calamari, red peppers stuffed with cheese (really yummy), giant beans, tzatziki, dolmades, saganaki (fried cheese) and it was all delicious. We also had a really nice bottle of cold white San Gerasimo Robola wine to wash it all down. The service was really friendly and we felt extremely welcome. We liked this restaurant so much that we chose to go back there for the last night of our holiday. That time we had the lamb shank - really tender meat - and some tomato, feta and aubergine rolls, which were fab. We would definitely recommend you try The White Horse. |
