We got back from the Olive Garden today (09/05/06), what a fantastic place to stay, the comments about the hill are true, it is a fair walk, especially when you're carrying a 9litre pack of water!, but don't let that put you off, the chap that works on the Pool bar (Nick) was excellent!, served food whenever you wanted it, it was all cooked fresh and was very reasonably priced (best of all is he tops up ya pint now and then!), the views are stunning, its probably the best place to stay in Kefalonia, we hired a car and visited all the major towns, Argostoli, Sami, Fiskardo, Scala, Assos, Poros & Agia Efimia & we both thought that where we were had the best of everything, it doedn't have that 'big' hotel or resort feel to it, its very comfortable and homely. I see a few posts asking which operators offer the Olive Garden, we went through First Choice so give them a go! Great Island to visit and the Olive Garden is the place to stay!....................Happy Holiday!
