First stayed in Lassi in 1988 and Makris Yialos did seem a lot bigger then maybe because there weren't so many tourists. But one of the locals said some of the beach was washed away in the 90's during a storm in the winter.No sun beds then but what a fantastic beach. There was also a tiny bar just off the beach where this old greek guy served beer and made hamburgers and hot dogs and he drank metaxas brandy all day! Does anyone else remember him? The bar was situated to the right at the bottom of the steps by the Taverna. Access was gained up some steps where there were seats for about 15? Those were the days! stay at the Medditeranee now |

| JUST COME BACK FROM KEFALONIA STAYED IN SKALA
BUT FOUND THIS FABULOUS BEACH IT WAS ROUGHLY 1HOUR AND 20 MINUTES FROM SKALA BUT WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH IT WE TRAVELLED THERE EVERYDAY.
NOT A STONE IN SIGHT (AS SKALA BEACH IS ALL STONES AND ROCKS) FAB SUN BEDS
GREAT CAFE ON THERE IN FACT THERE WAS TWO.
A VERY PRIVATE BEACH AND NOT TO BIG.

  THIS BEACH IS SUPERB. BEEN GOIN TO KEF SINCE 1995. THE ONLY THING THAT HAS CHANGED IS THE LARGER BEACH BAR WHICH IS A GREAT IMPROVEMENT. THE WATER IS BLUE AS BLUE AND VERY CLEAN. SAND IS NICE AND FINE. BEACH SHELVES GENTLY INTO SEA SO IDEAL FOR FAMILIES WITH KIDS. YOU CAN WATCH AIRCRAFT APPROACH THE RUNWAY WHICH YOU CAN SEE FROM THE BEACH BUT THEY ARE FAR AND FEW BETWEEN AND NOT NOISY. IT,S HARD TO BEAT THIS BEACH.

This beach was great. Lovely sea, sand and great watersports on offer. Guys at the watersports place cracked me up, they were so funny and welcoming.
Good beach bar where you can get a cold beer. And two really good places to eat on the beach. One of them is really good for souvlakis and traditional Greek food but the other one is great for takeaway food to eat on the beach and he does yummy burgers.
Overall this beach was lovely and it was great coming here everyday topping up my tan!!!! |

Busy but never packed, nice gentle slope into a clear cool refreshing sea which is a must with
temperatures continuosly in the high 30,s still thats what we come for. |

Best beach ever!!! Ive been to Cancun and the beach there wasnt even as nice as this one. Good music, lovely sea, lovely food done by my good friend Piro.

| Don't believe the hype there are more fag ends than grains of sand here.Yes the water is perfect but the beach is crowded and narrow if you go further along the coast to the east there a much nicer ones |

First thing we noticed was how busy it was and how some little beach bar was blasting cheesy music out, ruining the effect. It really spolit it for us. Yes the sea was nice and clean but it like this almost all over Kefallonia and you don't have to put up with the noise. |

| The beach was fab the guy who hired the sunbeds was lovely, He covered myself and boyf when we were hungover and getting burnt ! He also knew the best secluded beaches and gave ace directions. Only negative the beach can be quite breezy amd you don't realise how much sun your getting |

best beach in lassi !!! bin to kef 4 times and have always gone to that beach!!! and the people in the bar hut fingy are so nice spesh pirro he always makes you laugh no matter what!!! water so nicccee sun beds are cheap and there everything you need on a beach sun sand sea  il b back gen pirro and dont forget to try the water sports they so fun never laughed so much on them rings go to the 1 on the beach next to makris yialos looks safer and people there so nice i couldnt believe i hadnt been on the rings before

We have just arrived from Lassi and we didn't see any jellyfishes in the the area near Lassi. Only the crowd on the Makris Gialos and Platis Gialos was terrible.

| We are coming back to Lassi in August this year. We love the beach at Makros Yialos but we have been told that there is a problem with jellyfish at this and other beaches in Kefalonia at the moment. Is this true? are some beaches more badly effected than others? |

| my partner and i first came to kefalonia in june 2004 with our two boys aged four and two ,i was stunned when i saw lassi long beach it was so clean the soft white sand and the clear blue water ,we loved it in kefalonia so much that we are returning this june .I would definatley recommend coming to this precious island if you want peace and tranquility . |

| first visited lassi in 1996.makris yialos was the nicest beach i had seen in greece..been back a few times since..still a nice beach but too many people now! best time to visit is about 7>00am...paradise |

| This beach is fantastic it is such a pretty beach and the sea is so clear. U cant beat it ive been to alot of the greek islands also and this beach is the best in greece thats why we come back every year for the beach and our friends. |

| We stayed in the Silo Apartments, they were lovely. Very high standard of accomodation.... for Greece. Almost too nice!! about 10minute walk to Makris Yialos Beach, about 15 mins to main road of Lassi... I found them a little bit out in the sticks but I would stay there again. |

| We visited here this summer (2004). The beach was really nice, very close to Lassi so it was handy. Lovely sea to swim in, and nice friendly atmosphere, although at times a few too many sleezy school boys hanging around eyeing up young english girls!! Staff very nice, especially the sunbed man, even though he kept asking me out all the time and for my number. He even told me he was falling in love after 3 days and 1 kiss. I loved it though, had a wicked time. x x |
