La Luna
(Restaurants in Skala)
10/10 Janet S
We have been going to Kefelonia for many years, and we absolutly love Skala. La Luna is by far our favorite restaurant. we have tried most of the menue, nothing is too much trouble for them to achieve for you, the family is unasuming and considerate of everyone they serve.Try the Lamb Lataharti ( cooked in the oven with veg and garlic sauce) its to die for.  We will be on our way there 8th July 2012.  and the following fortnight. Value for money is excellant.Thier local wine is smashing.

We first tried La Luna 6 years ago and didn't bother going back until last week. We gave it another chance and the food was still rubbish - we won't be going again. Even the bread was soggy. The only 2 bad meals we've ever had in years of coming to Skala have both been at La Luna.

We ate at La Luna twice. Its was very reasonable and the service was excellent. The lamb with vegetables and the kokkinisto were fab, the meat was so tender it just fell apart. Wine was reasonably priced too.

I went here on two occasions and found the waiting staff to be very attentive, polite and friendly.  Seemed like a particularly good place for families as the waiters were good at interacting with children.  We only ate basic vegetarian spaghetti and pizza meals but the food was good and very reasonably priced.

It was very busy when we sat down, and the staff seemed quite stressed, forgetting to offer us drinks. I had a pasta dish with seafood, which tasted rather stale, I gave up eating the seafood as didnt want to take the risk.

Eat here both at lunch and dinner on same day.

Pizza and Calamari at lunch were first class, the batter on the calamari was so light. Service during the lunch was excellent.

At dinner, Shrimp Saganaki was ok and the Fried fresh vegtable starter consisted of half a sliced courgette. Main courses of a chicken special and fresh sea bream were average. The service was also average at dinner compared to lunchtime.

Slow service even at quiet times & food fairly non-descript.

It is actually called La Luna but regardless of the name, it was a lovely restaurant that we visited twice!  Definitely the best pizzas!  We found the service good, staff polite and other people we spoke to had eaten in there for the last few years and enjoyed it! I would recommend it.

Food very average. Staff spoke no English and the food was below par. Our worst evening meal out by far.

Staff seemed very surly in here, only time they seemed to warm to anyone was when paying the bill !

Food was very average

We ate at La Lune on our first night in Skala, although the starters we had were really nice, excellent stuffed peppers and vine leaves, the main courses were not particularly good. The steak was tough and the Filo Pastry around the dish I had was inedible!

Order Porterhouse Steak and got dried up pork steak. Pointed out to waiter that the order was wrong and he just didn't want to know.

8 of us ate here, the majority of us didnt like it. The half roast chicken and chips was excellent value though, my 8 year old had real trouble eating it (dont do a child menu). Service very slow and not the best value in town. The season hadnt even started so wait may be quite long.

Great restaurant and the waiters were excellent and really friendly. Was just wondering if anyone had any photos of the La Luna waiters(especially Makis). Anything would be greatly appreciated.

I had pasta here and it was very bland. My boyfriend's meat was swimming with grease. he felt that the waiters were untidy and scruffy. Needless to say, we didnt return.

We ate here on 4 or 5 occasions during our 2 week stay. We found it to offer the very best pizza, nice fresh ingredients on a stone baked base-rather than the bland doughy one from 'The pines'. The Spaghetti Bolognese was also extremely tasty and the portion was just enough. The mixed grill and souvalki both were extremely filling and on many occasions I wanted to try the sweet menu but found I was too full! I did ask to take a piece of apple pie away which they did happily and gave it to me in a sealed foil dish. Nothing was too much trouble. This is also one of the CHEAPEST restuarants we found. The staff are not particularly chatty as I get the impression the English isn't that great but they are very helpful and obliging.

Only ever been to La Luna for lunch, but on each occasion the salads that we had were good. The service there has always been a bit on the surly side, but it beats the falsity of some other places...

Suffice to say we only went there once. Food was average but not particularly memorable. It's a very busy and popular restaurant so the service wasn't quite so quick either and the staff weren't that attentive.

The Service was good, but im afraid the food itself left me feeling a little on the green side! We had to make our excuses before we finnished.

Possibly the worst restaurant on Kefalonia. Service was good, however the food left something to be desired!
